If you find a spot the signs are so confusing we were afraid to take a chance and end up with our car being towed. If it's a... More

On our visit to Philadelphia, we made several visits to this centre. On 2 occasions, there were historically dressed staff who had a fund of information about the history of Philadelphia. Everyone was very helpful, gave advice, maps and leaflets, The centre itself is worth a walk through, with tableaus of historical events. Good cafeteria. Tip: You can only get... More

We picked up our tickets for the timed tour of Independence Hall here, got some maps and info from the Park Rangers and after touring IH, came back to eat lunch. We liked the small display across from the snack bar. There are other sightseeing services you can book here and a small gift shop.

Did not have a lot of time, but this is a great start point for rest rooms, beautiful gift shop -- get info, and start your touring.

We probably didn't see all that this place offers- just visited the gift shop and family members used the restroom- which the females' had a long line. Gift shop had lots of cool stuff- little overpriced as in any souvenir shop.

This is where you must start your Philadelphia tour. The rangers can point you towards where you want to go. We sat through one movie that was informative. I would have sat through the other, but I was not alone.
