Look, I'm a NYer, we have Chelsea Market, Eataly, and now Le District. Terminal Market feels more authentic, you can see that the vendors aren't told how to present their goods. Amish farm treats, candies, ice cream, food from all nations, as well as spices, candles, books, you name it - but be prepared for the crowds, you can barely... More

Made the mistake of getting here at 4:45, and a lot of the restaurants close up shop earlier than the 6 pm closing time. However, we still walked around and enjoyed the ambiance of the classic market. We were able to find a few places that were still serving food, and had a great dinner. I would have liked to... More

If you are just looking for a meal, like we were, the choices can be overwhelming. We ended up getting sandwiches from By George , and they were delicious. I had heard that the chocolate chip cannoli from Termini Bros Bakery was "to die for." While I wouldn't go quite that far, it was very good. Since we were staying... More

Lunch? Check. You can find dozens of options from roast pork sandwiches to sushi to enchiladas to the salad buffet. Hundreds of seats means you can grab and go or grab and stay. Groceries? Check. We go in frequently for the free-range birds, organic vegetables and other necessities for making dinner. Sometimes I don't even have and idea what to... More

Admittedly there are lots of different cuisines here. But everything costs a little more than it should, none of it is the best at what they do, and it closes early enough to be helpful inconvenient for dinner. It's cool, but for dinner after a day of tourism, go to South Philly or South Street and eat at one of... More

Fantastic place, a must visit if you're in Philly. Reading Terminal Market boasts dozens of vendors, mostly of artisanal foods, all under one roof. A great place to grab a bite to eat for there and then, or pick something up for later. Or just walk around and explore the sights and smells! Includes Bassets Ice cream, Man Vs Food... More

I love chaotic market places where there is just so much life in progress that you cannot help but feel rejuvenated and lucky to be part of it. Everything you want food - wise is probably here. Worth a visit if you don't mind crowds; skip it if you don't like them.

This was a 5 minute walk from our hotel, so we decided to go for cheesesteaks for breakfast ;) There is so much here, it was hard to decide. We settled for one which was mediocre. Can't remember the name but it started with and S. Next time we will try something different.

Reading Terminal Market was our first stop on a quick trip to Philly. The market is quite overwhelming, in a good way. There is a ton of variety and something for everyone. Our first stop was for a DiNic's roast pork sandwich. It was huge, tender, juicy, and big enough to share. I could eat one everyday. Skip the cheesesteak... More

The Reading Terminal Market is an enclosed public market established around 1892. The first thing one notices upon entering are all the aromas coming from many different directions. There are over 100 merchants offering fresh produce, meats, fish, cheese, baked goods, candy, ice cream, deli, Chinese and Thai food and much, much more. Open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 AM...
