On Monday March 2, I went to Philadelphia for the annual Flower Show. It was a complete bust as far as I was concerned, but thankfully our tour guide told us about the Reading Market and that made the whole trip really fun. Reading Market is located in large historical building right across the street from the convention center. The... More

We went here for a lunch stop after the Phildelphia Flower Show. So much to choose from. Had a pork sandwich from DiNics. The sandwich was good but the line was forever. Had a hot pretzel at Miller's Twist which is an Amish sytle hot buttered pretzel. Delicious! Then it was off to Beiler's Bakery to bring home a dozen... More

Make certain to plan on eating breakfast or lunch here. Great place to stroll through and try different things. Lots of different food options from traditional Amish/PA Dutch to Interesting Ethnic fare. If you have a kitchen nearby fresh seafood, meats and produce as well. Personal favorites are Beiler's Bakery, Bassett's Ice Cream and Profi's Creparie. Options at Beiler's are... More

One of the best free and any weather activity in Philadelphia. The market is about a block large. It is completely indoors, so protected from the elements. Within its walls, you can start with a cup of coffee or tea to begin your tour. It is a food lovers paradise. There are a few sit down restaurants and some take... More

Now I understand what all of the fuss is about! This place is amazing! We were in Philly for 2 days and never went to a restaurant. Everything we needed was right here! Lots and lots of eating and shopping options! There were many Philly police officers there and they told us not to miss the Dutch Pancakes and the... More

Free entertainment. Just do a slow walk through the market and take it all in. From the ethnic eateries, to the Amish food stalls, to the seafood, meat and cheese purveyors. If you can't find something delicious, you aren't trying. My latest surprise here ... I did not know there were 2-4 count shrimp.

I am a native Philadelphian. I have watched this place evolve over the years. There is something for everyone here. You find anything from flower venders to seafood markets. Finding something to eat is a problem because there are so many places to choose from, it's hard to pick just one. You really must try Termini, a bakery that has... More

Every time I visit Philly, the Reading Terminal Market is a must-visit place. It has everything, including food vendors, vegetable stands and a cornucopia of the city packed in one place. It's vibrant and interesting. My favorites at the Market are the Amish vendors, including the Dutch Eating Place and Beiler's Donuts, which are closed Sun-Mon. It's funny what a... More

Amazing place. Every culture in the world is represented here and in food! From deli to schnitzel to thai . This place has it all. And don't forget all the specialty dessert places as well. The only downfall is the ratio of markets to seating areas. So much to see and eat and experience but not enough space to enjoy... More
