My advice would be to pick up a brochure about this wonderful place before you go. There are dozens of food stands here, besides fresh produce, flowers and other venders. A savory crepe was my choice, one with grilled chicken, tomatoes, onions, spinach and pineapple to make it interesting. The market was crowded for lunch, and prices were reasonable. If... More

We stopped at Reading Market twice on a recent visit to Philadelphia. Very fun. Clean, expansive and lots of food choices, some grocery & some prepared. Had very good lasagna at By George (near 1st street/avenue and mid-market). Also had some pretzel-wrapped hotdogs. They were great. Purchased plenty of produce, bakery and freshly-squeezed juice for later snacking. Wish we could... More

A veritable smorgasboard of eateries in a historic building. We came here a couple times and really enjoyed the variety of local foods available. There is a place with fresh carved corned beef that was so tender it melted in your mouth. Bassets Ice-Cream is excellent. And the various Amish places had wonderful donuts & egg sandwiches. Only drawback is... More

If you are in Philadelphia, you must try the Reading Terminal. This bustling attraction is a must. No matter what kind of food you like, you will find something. Fish, ribs, creative grilled cheeses, doughnuts, Cajun...and more. It is crowded but fun to walk around.

I found this place to be excellent for a quick delicious lunch. I found a pork sandwich in there that was to die for, DeNic's I think. I also found there to be more seating than in the typical market food setting. I found a table easily both times I was in there.

It was amazing... after the long long walking in cold windy weather the covered warm friendly market was great experience. You can find everything needed for eating! Online eating, takeaway or to be prepared staffs. It is highly recommended to visit it specially at lunch time.

This will please all parties regardless of culture or age - there is certainly something for everyone! Even late in the afternoon, there is great ice cream and take home for dinner. And a fun place to hang out, people watch, and centrally located within walking distance to many Philly attractions. Of course you can get a great Philly cheese... More

I have had a passion for the market since I was introduced to it as a child ...let's just say several decades ago. The market has produce vendors, butchers, bakers and even candlestick makers. If you are visiting from out of town and don't have a kitchen to prepare food come here for breakfast, lunch or early dinner. There's soul... More

Often we think jury duty lunch spot at Reading Terminal. The truth is that this gem has just about anything you need. There's some incredible sammie shops, delicious cheesesteak eateries, yummy ice cream, Amish food nirvana, a fabulous produce stand, the perfect florist and so much more! A plentiful butcher is available and a fish monger to boot as well.... More

This market has it all. Food to eat, Food to go and Food to take home and prepare. Would have ate here had I known about it. The Flying Monkey Bakery was awesome. Bring an appetite and don't be shy. Experience the flavor of this city in one area.
