You can easily blow a couple hours just by walking around this market and easily spend another couple eating your way through your favorite places. While it didn't seem that huge, it was packed full of restaurants, vendors and small shops. Pretty much any type of food you can imagine is there plus was surprisingly easy to find seating despite... Ok...when I walked in, I was mesmerized. Haha...American food, Thai, Soul, Indian, fish, ice cream, jams & jellies & candies, fudge & cookies, lotions & groceries & produce. HOLY...I wanted to try sooooo much. We tried plenty of food, spent over 2 hours here with our 3 kids. Tried the Philly classics & then some. Took home lots of goodies... More

If you want to get a good feel of Philly this is a must. An excellent market selling an incredible range of food and many places of interest to eat. An ideal place for trying many different foods especially breakfast. Very popular with the locals.

You can find pretty much any type of food inside the Reading Terminal Market. From cheesesteaks, pizza, gyros, desserts, and ice cream. My husband ordered a cheesesteak from George's, I had a pulled pork hoagie from Tommy's, and we shared a chocolate milkshake from Bassets. Worth the stop.

Crazy busy! Students, tourists, and locals all running around to purchase food. Many choices of food and cheap parking across the street IF you have your parking ticket validated by a merchant.

Nice place to go have a look and wander around. There are lots of places to go get a quick bite to eat. If you are used to produce markets outside the USA then I would recomend heading somewhere else.

This is a very busy market that sells everything from coffee, fresh procuse and meats to prepared seafood, ice cream and more. Several stands, some with limited seating serve meals. Many stands are run by Amish and Menonite famiies.

Great way to get to know Philadelphia if you're stuck at a nearby conference. Get your coffee and lunch here, maybe shop for gifts for your return trip. There are quite a few gems in this market. It's worth swinging in!

This is a must see if you are visiting from outside the US or from a city that is not on the East Coast of the US. This market is a wonderful, authentic way to experience of Philly's rich culinary world. You can buy great food and do some fun shopping with the locals... My favorite stand is the Metropolitan...
