Recently I was in Philadelphia for a conference. We were staying in the heart of the city, which meant the Reading Terminal Market wasn't far away. I actually had the chance to stop by the Reading Market on a couple of occasions. Just be aware, if you show up there at the lunch hour it is apt to be terribly... More

On a quick visit to Philly, the RTM is a sure bet for a great place to get out of the heat or snow. You really can't go wrong here if you love to eat and people watch.

OK- fair warning, if you have someone in your party who is indecisive or impulsive you will have issues here. The choices are almost endless! We went at lunch time and ti was MOBBED- however we expected that and it added to the experience in my opinion. My teenage children struggled to make a choice on what they wanted for... More

This market is a must to see. Produce and food are available to meet every individual taste. I presume all of it is local grown. There are places to sit down and have a quick and very nice shopping meal and to have a cocktail as well. Desert businesses are all over the place and we noticed Trip Advisor awards... More

Wish we had more time here. It was awesome! Had some cannolis at Termini Bakery. Just like my mom makes. Would love to go back.

We visited here on a Saturday afternoon in July. Needless to say, the market was super crowded with shoppers and those looking to have lunch. It's a fun experience, not to be missed, but be prepared to battle the crowds!

It is good to see the market thriving. Over the years it has evolved from a pure market to a combination of standard food market and places to eat. The selection is great and the place does a good turn (busy). A definite must for anyone visiting Philly.

When you go to Philadephia I would go by and visit the Reading Terminal Market. With so many choices of food it is hard to decide what you would like to eat. From fresh seafood, to German Brauts, to and wonderful Amish breakfast.

There is so much interesting stuff to look at here! Tons of great food and great stores. The Amish doughnuts are by far the best I've ever had! Definitely stop by if you have any time at all!

It's good to know that past traditions such as open air farmers' markets are well and thriving! The Reading Terminal Market offers many options for eating prepared food as well as for purchasing food to take home to prepare. In this regard, it is very reminiscent of Lexington Market in Baltimore. I enjoyed strolling through the aisles and looking at... More
