A great market, excellent food and an awesome experience more
An extremely nice, well lit, easy to navigate, farmer's market and shopping/browsing venue. Spend and hour or most of the day. Try to go when the Amish stalls are open. Informative website. Relatively inexpensive parking. more
Based on some people's descriptions of the market, I was planning to skip it, if it wasn't for a guy at our hotel recommending it for lunch. It's amazing, and can't be described, you just have to experience it for yourself. It's definitely not your typical foodcourt, with over 50 stores, it's a market. And there is about anything you... more
So many choices! Make sure you find a a cinnamon roll in the Dutch area. They're amazing! more
We took the Phlash trolly to this stop. We wern't sure what to expect or if it would be good for a family, but we LOVED it! There is so much to see and eat (as well as some shopping). I had a great Gyro, my daughter (5) had a super sub but the show stopper was my husband's Thai... more
This is the East Coast's equivalent to Seattle's Pike Place Market. All different kinds of specialities, there's something to satisfy anyone's appetite. Try the ice cream shop, best ice cream I've tasted in a long time! more
Huge Food Market, open seven day a week. Cuisines from around the globe, whatever your heart desires, it's pretty certain you can get it here. Pennsylvania Dutch (and Amish) food counters, Specialty cheese shops, seafood, meat, produce, so many restaurants, they truly have everything. Be sure to stop at the Amish Lancaster Co. for freshly-squeezed Orange juice, Metropolitan or Le... more
This is a tightly packed assault on the senses. It's noisy, packed, brightly lit, and full of smells- some good, some not so good. After downloading the brochure with a map of all the different kiosks/shops/stalls I planned out where I wanted to go. After getting there I threw my plans out the window. You just gotta roll with the... more
I came here on a bus trip and it dropped me off right at a door. I was surprised when I walked in. I saw so much fresh food and it smelled so good. The market has everything from ice cream to apples to pigs feet. There are fishermen who are selling great looking fresh fish. There were butchers cutting... more
This is a wonderful city food market with many choices of good food stalls. Everything from Thai, chinese, italian deli, pizza, Pennyslvania Dutch etc... There is a herb and spice concession that has just about everything. I would definately put this on the itinerary if in the area. Good stop for lunch. It is across the street from the Convention... more
