Though I do not really understand why. There is nothing there that cannot be found other places. It is tight and cramped on weekends and elbow to elbow. Not very kid friendly. The aisles are tight and cramped so those with assistive mobility devices or strollers will struggle with mobility once inside. Many park their strollers and walk. The food... More

Amazing food! Must try Bassett's ice cream and Carmen's hoagies. So delicious!! Suggested ice cream flavours: raspberry truffle and guatemalan coffee.

This place is awesome. I went there every day and spent a hour each time walking about and trying to decide what to eat for Breakfast and/or Lunch. You cannot miss looking around this place - it is well worth the trip. Foodies heaven

The market has something for everyone! Some items and products are top draw, others, eh? Same for the food offerings. On balance, more good "stuff", which warrants a lengthy visit, than not. It's a fun place to visit and some of the "market items" are superior.e.g. meats, dairy, and breads. Philly now has so many fine restaurants to visit that... More

I love this place and wish I could have spent more time here while I was in Philly. It's got all kinds of food and desserts, as well as shops. It does get busy on weekends, so beware! But it's worth fighting the crowds. A word of advice: Don't eat the first thing that catches your fancy! There's so much... More

I love this place. My wife says it is not clean, too crowded and the place is probably full of rats at night. None of the above bothers me. There are some places in the RTM that are not great. Like anything in this world, you need to think a little. I want to eat a roast pork n sharp... More

Lots of food vendors, lots of different food vendors! There are also grocery and food vendors. It is very large, allow yourself time to walk around before deciding what and where to eat. It can get crowded on the weekends and it does close at 6 on Saturday.

Under one roof you have what has to be the largest collection of shops, stores, eateries and visitor amenities under one antique roof. Open from 9-6 most days there are over 114 shops to visit to purchase everything from collectibles to culinary treats.
