Took guests who were in from out of town for the weekend. There are a bunch of inexpensive places to get good quality food that you can then eat at tables on site. A large range of food for every discerning palate. Our guests said they wanted Cheese steaks and there were 2 different places to choose from. There are... More

Originally owned by the Reading Railroad, it istill related by proximity to rail transportation, but now owned by the Pennsylvania convention center. This new non profit is a good thing for it manages this historical and wonderful institution. That the convention center is across the street brings more of a customer base and keeps this eciting spot thriving. It has... More

A wonderful option for locals and tourists alike. We've been here a number of times over the last decade and it never disappoints. There are 50+ stalls of food from fresh produce and meats for grocery shoppers to a wealth of options for prepared foods (coffee, baked goods, cheese steak, Amish donuts, Greek, Chinese, salad bar). Reasonably priced so a... More

What an wonderful place. When you see it from the outside you don't expect much and think that it is "just another" market. BUT what a surprise when you enter, there is something for everyone there. Food of every description, size and taste. Arts n crafts a lot of which are truly beautiful especially the embroidery. All kinds of coffee... More

Combination of a Farmer's Market and Food Court Extravaganza. Something for everyone. I would do it more like Tapas if you go with a group.

I love shopping and this is adds a new twist to my fun. Upon entering this large indoor market, especially is you enter on the corner of Arch and 12th Streets, you are immediately met with the smell of fresh baking. I couldn't resist the caramel rolls. From there you can obtain more bakery items, fresh meats of many varieties... More

I can't get enough fresh food markets & Reading Terminal Market is truly the BEST! BETTER than the Chelsea Market in NYC!!! Don't skip this, you will be sorry. The variety of foods is sure to please all of your travel companions. I was in Philly for five days and probably ate from the Reading Market three or four times.... More

Good food, lots of people watching. Of course it was Saturday and that made it really crowded. Enjoyed the pretzels, beer, and pie. Bought fresh fruit. Busy place.
