This is a "must see" place if you come to Philly. It is a virtual smorgasbord of shops, eateries, specialty booths--you name it. It seems to be THE place for locals as well as tourists. Being located in the old Reading RR Terminal adds to its historic attraction.

Was there end of July weather was great the place was loaded with shoppers. Plus there was a postal strike going on and that made it a more interesting shopping day.All food under this roof is amazing .Starting with the Pennsylvania Dutch and Amish fresh natural grass fed meat. You will be glad to go to this one stop place for... Having been to Philly before I can't recall how I hadn't been to the Reading Market in my previous trips but what I LOVE about places like Philly is that there is SO MUCH to experience and such is the case with the Reading Terminal Market. In fact, the last time was there I went multiple times and walked the... More

I would say that the variety and breadth was not as great as Pike Place Market in Seattle, but Reading Terminal does have lots of good Amish bake goods. It is not as "upscale" as Pike Place has become. It more like Pike Place in 1975. It is a fun place to roam around and see meats, cheese, fish and... More

This place is the real deal and they offer almost everything so it's a good place to visit, eat and walk around. Centrally located downtown and they also have a parking lot nearby plus they validate. You can even try some items you don't normally get elsewhere. I opt for Dinic's and the roast pork but there's ice cream, cookies,... More

Whether you're a local or passing through, a visit to the Reading Terminal Market is a must! Packed with dozens of local merchants, purveying food, beverages, treats, crafts and candies, the market is a true delight. And it's real - not a tourist trap, but an honest-to-goodness old-time marketplace where you can find local delicacies like Philly Cheesesteaks, as well... More

We recently visited Philadelphia for the day and were so glad we stopped by here. It was so much fun to walk around and look at all the food and eat at one of the booths. The Amish do not have their booths on Sun-Tues. Make sure that if you use the parking garage that you get your ticket stamped... More

Great sights, sounds and smells. The Amish breakfast is awesome! The bakeries in the back as well as the roasted chicken wings are to die for. Fresh cheeses, sausages, etc. You have to be prepared to eat something at this place. Love it!

Shortly after arriving to Philly, a friend recommended my wife and I try out the Reading Terminal Market, and we have been going back there nearly every week since. The Market is across the street (Arch) from the Philly convention center, so it is a great place for those at a meeting to check out. Great people and great selection.... More

Reading Terminal Market is the kind of place that I love to visit in other cities when I travel. It is the REAL Philadelphia because locals stop here and shop here. The restaurants and shops are a great reflection of modern life in a modern American city - a true syncretic experience - a blending of American life with world... More
