A visit to Dinosaur National Monument is not complete unless you visit the Dinosaur Quarry. There are hundreds of dinosaur fossils that were uncovered on the mountain side and now on protected display in a covered building. You can even touch one of the fossils. A Park Ranger is available to provide additional information and to answer questions.

So cool to see all the dinosaur fossils. And you can even touch some of them! Our young boys were enthralled, and so were we as adults! Really well done.

You must see the Dinosaur Quarry when you go to Dinosaur National Monument. Kids would really enjoy seeing the quarry and reading all about it. There is a park ranger that is really informative and will answer any questions. If driving your car then get there by 8:00 or you will have to take the shuttle bus up to the... More

If you or any kids traveling with you have any interest in dinosaurs, this is a must see! The exhibit hall is amazing with an entire wall of bones in rock relief, exactly as they were found. The rangers are very instructive and informative, pointing out teeth marks on some bones and how others differ from species to species. Take... More

This is a "must see" if you are interested in this type of thing (national parks, science & nature). If you have kids/grandkids it's great too! Imagine seeing a wall full of dinosaur bones!!!! Go, by all means!

We had an amazing time looking at this big hillside full of dinosaur bones. It was so cool. Our boys really loved it. You even get to touch a fossil. The kids really love the Jr. Ranger Program!

What more can I say - this place was fantastic and really well organised with a frequent free shuttle from the visitor centre to the quarry site (or a 1 mile-ish walk each way). The kids loved it, we loved it, and we all got to actually touch dinosaur bones. Hooray!

Awesome. I hadn't been to the quarry in about 25 years. Very nice new facilities. Excellent people working there to answer questions. My 7 year old went nuts for dinosaurs!

..well...and since it's the largest accumulation of Dinosaur bones even we consider it a must...;-) So, if you are in the area and have an hour to spare after visiting Dinosaur Monument, this is the place to go!

The Dinosaur Quarry Visitor Center at Dinosaur National Monument is awesome! There are very few other places in the world that have the sheer number and wealth of dinosaur fossils on display as the "Dinosaur Wall" at this quarry. In fact, there are nearly 1500 dinosaur bones visible in the cliff face of the world-famous Carnegie Quarry! Many new species... More
