The visitor center is beautiful, light and airy. the rangers knowledgeable and helpful. The tram is a quick 3 minute informative ride to the quarry. What an incredible experience. Seeing the fossils as they appear in the rock and dirt. Touching real bones and having a chance to see not only the dinosaurs, but real paleontology. I plan to return... More

The quarry is amazing. You can see a two-story quarry full of dinosaur bones and even be able to touch them. There is plenty of information available that is appropriate for both children and adults. We even took a ranger led hike which included locations with fossils and ancient drawings on the rocks (can't think of the official name at... More

Great experience. My kids 9, 8, and 3 really enjoyed it. Great rangers present. My crew did the walk back to the visitor center. I was a little nervous with my 3-year old near some of the drops... but my entire crew enjoyed it. Yes, my whole family loved it. If you hike it, watch out for snakes.

The quarry is the reason you come to visit Dinosaur National Monument. Things you need include water, a camera & binoculars if you want to get a great view of the bones. There are a few areas within the quarry building where you can touch the bones too. Most of the dinosaurs found here are not the well known ones... More

instead of seeing a complete set of dinosaur bones, you see this exposed side of a hill where dinosaur bones are half excavated and half buried. It gives you a very different perspective.

A visit to Dinosaur National Monument is not complete unless you visit the Dinosaur Quarry. There are hundreds of dinosaur fossils that were uncovered on the mountain side and now on protected display in a covered building. You can even touch one of the fossils. A Park Ranger is available to provide additional information and to answer questions.

So cool to see all the dinosaur fossils. And you can even touch some of them! Our young boys were enthralled, and so were we as adults! Really well done.

You must see the Dinosaur Quarry when you go to Dinosaur National Monument. Kids would really enjoy seeing the quarry and reading all about it. There is a park ranger that is really informative and will answer any questions. If driving your car then get there by 8:00 or you will have to take the shuttle bus up to the... More

If you or any kids traveling with you have any interest in dinosaurs, this is a must see! The exhibit hall is amazing with an entire wall of bones in rock relief, exactly as they were found. The rangers are very instructive and informative, pointing out teeth marks on some bones and how others differ from species to species. Take... More
