I don't really get the big deal about this small lake with a hiking path around it. Perhaps I am spoiled by the high mountion lakes that I have seen on my hiking. You can drive up to this lake and picneck or fish. It is plesent but nothing to go out of your way for.

The beauty is spectacular! The drive to the lake was beautiful. The area surrounding the lake is very peaceful. We even saw a golden eagle in flight above the lake.

We loved our trip around this beautiful gem tucked back in the mountains off of 395…we even got to see a Bald Eagle. One side of the lake trail is exposed while the other side is under fir and beautiful aspen. It only takes a couple hours to walk around and is kid friendly. We got some beautiful photos and... More

This is one of my favorite spots to camp. Many sites are available for reservation but the best sites are first come-first serve. While the campground is not on the lake it is set in a most spectacular canyon, surrounded by 12,000 foot mountains. Many sites are along the outlet creek from Convict Lake with plenty of privacy and shade.... More

This is an easy, peaceful stroll around a crystal clear lake. Keep your eyes open for mule deer! We also saw some BIG cat paw prints!

I wonderful 3mi. hike around the lake in the Summer, Mt. Morrison and Mt. Laurel are stunning, the fish are large trout, a pontoon boat rental for 1hr. is $95. You can canoe or kayak bring your own. The waters edge is a beautiful turquoise, places to picnic under the shade of trees on far side of lake.

This was a beautiful lake to visit. The walk around it was pleasant. I saw deer, and the water is clear and nice to swim in.

This lake is a must see when you're in the area. It is smaller than the nearby lakes but just as charming and beautiful. They have a small marina that books up fast so I recommend reserving a boat ahead of time.
