I stopped here in January for some information I was looking for; they were very nice and provided what i wanted. It is on your way into the Mammoth town area.

This is a pretty nice visitor center with an information desk with several folks available to answer questions. Maps...some free, some not...along with numerous brochures and some gift and apparel items are available as well. Adequate parking area as you enter Mammoth for this center.

Very informative, they have maps and other brochures and the rangers are so friendly and will point you in places to go do and see.

This is the place to go to get all the information needed to make the most of Mammoth area "things to do". The people working there really know their stuff.

A small cramped room. Little information, but lots of brochures. I was greeted by a very friendly person which was nice.

We dropped in here just for the heck of it and were surprised at how smart and knowledgeable and enthusiastic and nice the rangers were. Tons of great ideas to match the current weather conditions, realistic forecasts, what wildlife to try to see, trail conditions, all right on the money. A bunch of great folks, anxious to try to make... More

Very easy to find. Staff were knowledgeable about the area and more than willing to help us plan our visit. The gift store carried a decent supply of "stuff". We actually made two visits - 1 at the beginning and 1 at the end of our day.

While we were visiting the area, Yosemite was on fire so we went in daily to get status reports. Staff suggested other area hikes and told us what to expect on each. Before leaving the area, we stopped in again to get directions to Death Valley. Center had many books about nature, hiking, and environmental concerns. Also sold T-shirts, post... More

The National Park Visitors Center had a wide variety of CD's, books, maps, guides and souvenir items. The 'Ranger' behind the desk was quite helpful. I found some of the gift items somewhat pricey (a local coffee mug was $29.95).
