If you are looking for home made presents for the holidays, this is the place to visit. Be sure to check the entertainment schedule as well as the vendor calender before visiting. Enjoy the free trolley ride to Christmas City and the walk along the SteelStacks.

The month of December is the best time to travel to Bethlehem, PA. The Christkindlmarkt is open every weekend and is located at The Stacks of the old Bethlehem Steel works. This is a unique shopping experience where one-of-a-kind gifts can be found in all price ranges for everyone on your list. There is a nominal entrance fee and a... More

So we have lived about 45 min from Bethlehem for several years, but got bitten by the Christmas Mart bug, while vacation in Germany in December of 2014 and loved the marts in each town we visited, so went to the Chritkindlemarket in Bethlehem last weekend. The event overall was set up very well, with free shuttle service from the... More

9.00 per person to walk around and look at stuff to buy?!?!? This was such a disappointment, and we went specifically to Bethlehem to "experience" this. Parking was ridiculous. The only two things of any cultural or true "artisan" nature were the ice sculpting and the glass blowing. Everything else is farmer's market quality. The food tent has some of... More

I wanted to get one more gift for my wife this year and said we should go to Christkindlmarkt to look for a gift our daughter. (subterfuge at work). So we went, even though my wife said she was not attached to going. We strolled around listening to Christmas music, watching the man carve astonishing ice sculptures, and looking at... More

We have been going since the first year. If you've gone before its the same exact vendors and every year before selling the exact same stuff. Overpriced admission isn't worth it as almost every other Christmas mart I've been to is free We only went because we got a groupon which was a pain to use since they close so... More

We had debated going to the Christkindlmarkt because of the reviews on TA regarding the charge to get to see a "craft show". We finally decided we had wanted to visit it for a few years and if we didn't see it we would always wonder what it was. We were quite surprised and although we didn't want to pay... More

Although this is really a market for Christmas shopping, it has so many unusual items and artisans displayed here, that you forget it is shopping at all. There is usually live music, food and a bar so you can rest and relax intermittently while shopping. Santa is there also for the kids to chat with, have their photos taken and... More

This is a fun way to spend an afternoon. Lots of interesting vendors. One of the tents had a bar with a wide screen TV and a stage with a band playing Christmas music. There were Ice sculpture demos outside. A lot to keep you occupied. It's at Steel Stacks which is the location of the old Bethlehem Steel Mill.... More
