It has been quite a while since we visited VOTA, but we have fond memories. It is easy to walk from house to house, each a museum in its own right, with many unique artistic creations. Some were real bargains. This is a rare gem neighborhood. It has recently been upgraded with restaurant improvements. We plan to visit again soon,... More

This was on our "to do" list while we were visiting! Unfortunately we could not find any info as to when shops were open. Due to our limited time available we didn't want to plan a day there if the shops were closed. Monthly event info is available just not any daily info. Sadly we did not get to see... More

We discovered this old style art village by chance. Great idea, great galleries and friendly people.

Just go for a walk through the area and drop in to artists' galleries, a cool and funky part of town in a town that is really one large suburb. Interesting part of town.

Fun walking around streets, houses and shopping for local art. I also walked into book store and bought signed copy of local author that I totally enjoyed. Fun way to spend evening.

My sister Roz and I attended the Festival of the Dead in November. We loved visiting the Arte Café (delicious!) and the book shop. The books are by local authors and are a great read!

Was so looking forward to visiting this area. We drove from Orlando to visit. Firstly it was not easy to find. Thankfully a nice gentleman in a petrol station directed us. Oh was I disappointed. The houses looked so unwelcoming and tired. No one around. None of the galleries /houses looked occupied. We drove around for some signs of life... More

Another hidden treasure which should be "unhidden". We went during a festival. There are all types of artists working and living in the homes- painters, glass artists, jewelry makers, etc. There are also unique offerings through classes at some of the shops. The bakery was closed, so we didn't get to try any treats. If nothing else, just walking around... More

Not exactly the easiest place to find unless you're a local. So take the time. Like eating with the family when the cook's a good cook, not like my mother. At the risk of gagging, this restaurant is charming and the food was great.
