We visited several spring baseball parks this season - and sorry to say this was the worst! The bathrooms on the 3rd base side of the field were out of order. If you wanted a burger you had to walk all the way over to the first base side of the field. It was a certainly a "Purest baseball park"... More

McKechnie is the Spring Training (and Single-A minor league) version of Wrigley Field and Fenway Park. It was constructed in 1923 and until 2010 didn't even have lights. Two more major renovations since have made it one of Florida's premier Grapefruit League venues, with a walk-around deck, a Tiki Bar, totally new seating, and ample concessions that have short wait... Very nice ballpark. Surrounding area could use some sprucing up. It was a very sunny day which made the bleacher seats a little warm but overall great time.

Fun family night out at the ball game! Went to the Marauders home opener on April 11/15. Affordable tickets. Tasty treats. Great views from all seating areas. Fun activities in the concourse area. And there was a fireworks show after the game!! Second time going & will continue to go everytime we visit Florida!

We have been to quite a few spring training sites but never to Bradenton's McKechnie Field. They apparently had completed extensive renovations and the ball park was looking good! We sat in reserved seating and had great views of the field. The concourses are somewhat small but there were quite a few concessions and adequate, clean bathrooms. The staff was... More

I stopped in for a spring training game Pirates vs Yankees. Ordered the ticket online in January - great seat behind home plate. The seating all around the park is close to the field, so it is a great place to watch baseball. Be advised that the seats are narrow and not padded - but the park rents cushions for... More

Great place to spend an afternoon or evening with family and friends, the food is above average for ballpark eats, and they have quite the selection of draft beers to pair with. I've only gone to Bradenton Maurader's games, never a Pittsburgh Pirates spring training game, but I expect not much changes besides the colors people wear in the stands.

I really enjoy going to Mekechnie Field to see the Pirates play in March. Venue is great, food good and parking is very close around the park at $10.

We were in Longboat Key for the week and heard our Phillies were playing there on a Monday afternoon, so we decided to go. Nice ball field, very clean. All the staff were so friendly! It was a nice afternoon. My son was thrilled to win a whiffle ball bat at the pitching game!

Maybe it was the brawl between the Pirates and the Phillies, or perhaps it was the terrible final score (I'm a Phillies fan), but this isn't exactly one of the top ballparks in the Grapefruit League. There isn't a large electronic scoreboard, there are few seats that are shaded and the interaction between the club and the fans are more... More
