Beautiful to visit on a lovely day - very wooded and a little hilly. Several different tours offered or explore on your own. There are a lot of Dayton's own buried here - Wright Brothers, Erma Bombeck, the Gypsy Queen! Extensive labeling of trees.

Wright Brothers burial site alone makes this a national treasure. You must see the more famous sites here & visit office with any questions. Just behind the University of Dayton campus.

We took a group tour of the Woodland Cemetery. I was greatly surprised at the information we received and the fun we had. Planning another tour in order to absorb the massive amount of information given.

We were able to see a portion of this beautiful garden cemetery before it closed for the evening and it made me want to return to see more. Even in early spring, before all is in bloom it is a beautiful place. We paid our respects at the Wright brothers family plot and drove through that part of the cemetery... More

This is such a beautiful cemetery! It has lots of trees, a arboretum like Spring Grove in Cincinnati which makes it much nicer. When you enter there are the historic 1880's Chapel and Administrative Building, if you ask at the Administrative Office to go in the chapel they may let and it is very much worth it. It is being... This cemetery is the final, scenic resting place of the Wright Brothers and Paul Laurence Dunbar, along with other local notables. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the trees are lovely. But, the best is the view of the city! Wow!

I just went to the cemetery to see the final resting place of Wilbur and Orville Wright. It was a last minute thing and we did not decide to do it until we were on our way home. I wish I could have stayed longer, just to walk along the grounds. The views of downtown Dayton are wonderful. I plan... More

The grounds are very well kept. Get out and enjoy a walk around. Take the tour but do it on foot. You will see more than you could even imagine. It is fun and educational.
