My children and grandson love this place. It has something for all ages from the very young to the teenage years. It gives them the chance to interact with most attractions there.

Boonshoft has a little something for everyone: a tidal touch pool, a small zoo animal exhibit, water play stations, climbing play stations, a small "village" filled with various buildings, including a court house, a recycling station, an eco-friendly house, a mechanics shop and more. There is also a great dinosaur exhibit now in the "main" exhibit hall -- as well... More

As a disclaimer, I went to the museum solely for the planetarium show. Having lived in Washington, DC, my standard for comparison is the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, so I wasn't expecting a show of that scale. For a small city like Dayton, I thought the planetarium show at the Boonshoft Museum about the night sky was educational and... More

We went to the Boonshoft with no expectations - and we were pleasantly surprised. This museum was better than those in Bloomington and Chattanooga, which we have also visited recently. Really great for young kids, reasonable admission, and no gimmicks to encourage more expense. We had a great trip - about three hours to get through with my three and... More

I had it in my mind that this would be more like Cosi in Columbus that we visited a few years ago. I have an almost 12 yr old now and he was just not into the younger kid interactive exhibits at all. He already knows about those things and they take up a huge part of the museum. While... More

This is a great place for toddlers through preteen. There are many different hands on attractions. They have a military buy one get one free for up to a party of six going right now through the summer. Free parking.

We visit children's museums when we travel and they aren't always all that exciting. This one was an absolute blast. It has a planetarium (free with admission), an amazing jungle gym slide in the middle, and a zoo with very kid-friendly animals. Every section of the museum makes you feel like you're in a different world. One moment you're walking... More

It is a wonderful interactive exp erience for all but especially for young children. It is not so huge that folks get lost but large enough to have lots to do and see

We love this place. It is huge with a variety of things to do so the kids are not all on top of each other. Easy free parking is fantastic. Lots of great interactive activities. Our kids love going here! Highly recommend.

This place is neat for kids and adults. Our favorite part is the planetarium shows. Lots of different activities for kids. As an adult I even enjoyed it. You need to have at least 2-3 hours if not more. However, if you are not a fan of noise or people running in all different directions I would definitely not go... More
