We've been to children's museums in New England and the Midwest, and boonshoft remains one of the best. It's a good size for a morning or afternoon visit, not too big that you are exhausted trying to get through it but big enough that the kids can try plenty of activities. Some of the activities are a little too static,... More

Lots of things to see here, very educational for both kids and adults. I love the tree house, we get to see different birds and the sound they make. Kids will love the place, they will discover a lot of things.

Took the grandchildren there. Because it is not cheap to get in, I would recommend going only if you have a full day to spend, or at least 3+ hours. Things for all age levels. Need to stay with the kids because due to crowds it would be easy to lose them (we did, when the kids skittered up the... More

What a nice museum. We've visited many science and children's museums across the country and Boonschoft is unique for having so many live animals. The kids loved it. The tree house is beautiful. A great way to spend several hours with the kids. Boonschoft participates in the ASTC Travel Passport program, so make sure to explore this museum if you're... More

We love going to museums in my family and Boonshoft is an excellent location that has a lot to offer. It is designed around younger learners but was fascinating and engaging for the adults in my family. The zoo section is amazing. Yeah Otters. As an astronomy buff the solar system set up was gorgeously done for learning and seeing... More

MY daughter Loves this place..climb to the top of the obstacle course and slide down the giant slide. Even yet get a splash in the tidal wave. Where you get to feel leather star fish, pick up live coral, and sea urchins. Get all,wet creating with the power of water. Build your own water power. Learn about pulleys and levers. Find... More

We had a GREAT time only thing I regret is not going earlier in day. Early and check the daily list of events to make sure you can experience the variety of daily activities (petting star fish, viewing the dome video, 3D theater and Do Lab). There is adventures for all ages. My personal favorite was the hologram room

Went for a wedding and it was such a cool experience. We were able to walk through the museum and wow, it is so much more than what it used to be when I was little. Definitely a place to take the family with young kids.
