Boonshoft Museum is a must see for students of all ages. I took my biology class there as a field trip. There are class learning experiences conducted by the qualified staff, animal habitats to investigate, hands on science activities and a planetarium. Teachers and parents, take your children. Even if they go on a school field trip, kids love the... More

My parents took our granddaughter and me for the morning, and we all loved it! Great slides, wonderful science activities, and a planetarium. Staff was great, even the grand parents felt like kids. When we left, they had a gentleman outside who did a lesson on channeling solar power through a magnifying glass onto a wood stick. We each wrote... More

We are from Michigan, yet we always buy a membership here because it is the best price to get our family in to both the national list of participating reciprocal science centers, and zoos/aquariums. I was worried that my now teenage children would have outgrown the place they loved so much as children. I wass wrong. I still had to... More

This is a children's play center, a museum, a gym and a science lab all in one building. We spent most of a day and the kids still get did not get to see everything. An amazing place to take the kids!

A nice, quick, fun and educational outing. Inexpensive and fun time for my 13 year old. He was able to run around, see and touch, and learn. And I got a chance to do some reading while he learned.

My sister lives in Michigan and comes to visit with her three kids (ages 2, 4, and 8). The kids ask every time they visit if they can go to the Boonshoft! The discovery zoo has the perfect number of animals to feel up close and personal, and still learn about the animals too. This last visit we went to... More

We have been to the Boonshoft Museum a couple of times with the kids. They have an alright time but it's not their favorite place to visit. They lose interest after awhile, perhaps they are just too old for it now. Their favorite party is the gift shop. We used to go a lot when they offered last light shows... More

My family used to take me to this museum when I was little, plenty of fun memories in there! I recently went back for a little visit with my husband, and we enjoyed it. I noticed a few things that I wasn't impressed with, and there was a lot that did leave a good impression. The animals are cute and... More

We stumbled upon this place after visiting its sister site, Sunwatch, and seeing information about it on the back of their brochure. This place was lots of fun! Something for everyone and staff very friendly. Since this was an impulsive trip, did not pack a stroller... this wasn't a problem because they loaned me one for free! Ticket prices include... More

I had high hopes for this museum as it touted a children's area but was disappointed. For the cost of admission the children's 'stuff' was quite juvenile. The museum felt 'random' and too eclectic for us. Would not have missed it had we not seen it.
