One of the best places to visit for a Halloween Experience. Can only say you will have to visit for yourself but just be prepared for what you will see.

There are a nice variety of artsy shops here, mixed in with bars and restaurants. It's nice to walk down the street during a lunch break from work, during a weekend, or during the evening with friends. There is a lot to see. Sadly, don't expect much on a Sunday.

This is an old part of town that has been restored. There are a number of very good places to eat and drink. I prefer the evening to visit.

This area of Dayton has lots of great drinking establishments and some very good food places too (some do both). They are too numerous to mention all, but everyone is very good and worth a try.

A nice variety of fun stuff to do, pretty much all in one block. Funky shops and good food during the day, drinks and music at night. Favorite places: Sew Dayton (sewing/craft supply shop) Toxic Brew Company (microbrewery) Thai Nine (delicious eats)

A small town's version of a downtown entertainment center. Some good restaurants. Thai 9 has VG sushi, soups and Japanese style food. I guess it's good for barhopping.

For a better funky, fun, walkable area, the small town of Yellow Springs is a quick 20-30 min druve; however, if time or transportation do not allow, then this is the best Dayton has to offer for a unique city neighborhood, tiny as it may be. Parking is a hassle on days with nice weather, and like most cities, don't... More

The Oregon District in Dayton, Ohio is a mini, scaled down version of New York's West Village. It is trendy, funky, fun. The businesses are varied, interesting. In pleasant weather, the outdoor patios are full of trend-setters, music, a party atmosphere. There are some upscale restaurants also which are excellent. To pass an afternoon, or evening, I would recommend a... More

This is a great place for an evening out. Lots of restaurants, bars, clubs, and even a brewery. There is usually some type of live entertainment at most of the bars or an event happening. Even has some interesting little shops.
