There are a good variety of restaurants to enjoy, parking can be an issue. There are a lot of bars as well and it is not very child oriented.
Save your money and travel to Columbus instead. Any remaining restaurants are simply struggling o pay their bills and the small area is anything but picturesque. Taxpayers money supports the area but it continues to attract a bad element that makes the entire area dangerous..
If you're up for a good time and want to let your hair down, then the Oregon District should be your destination. Live music flows from many doors and there is a wide variety of restaurants to suit any taste. Nice eclectic old style and some great restaurants and bars to eat, drink and enjoy some live music in easy walking distance from most downtown hotels and businesses.
A number of very good restaurants as well as being party central in the bars on the weekends. A great irish bar down at the end with authentic atmosphere and authentic irish food.
Well worth the walk from downtown dayton. Restaurants, shopping, art galleries, etc. In addition, very pleasant older urban residential neighborhood.
