A lovely place to have a relaxing stroll. Quality shops with quality goods. The same can be said forthe eating places. Very much in keeping with the historic nature of Yorktown. Also clean and litter free.

A very compact shopping area on the waterfront. Shops are small and unique, not chains. (Well, there is a Ben and Jerry's!) Even husbands who could not care less about shopping enjoy sitting on the waterfront and watching the boats. The Waterman's Museum gift shop is right next door, too. It's next to the beach and there are several restaurants.... More

We had gone to the Yorktowne battlefield and since it's next door to the Riverwalk and the village of Yorktowne we did the walk. Worth every step. Lots of interesting shops, restaurants and wedding to look at. Historical buildings all over. Worth the walk.

Stopped in over Easter weekend and nothing was open except Ben & Jerry's. Looks like the place is going out of business.

After visiting the historic meccas of Williamsburg and Jamestown, Yorktown offers another dimension; fun! Riverwalk still has the Colonial feel, but offers some chic shopping, dining, and recreation other than sightseeing. You can spend the day on the beach, take a tall ship cruise, or our new favorite, a fishing trip with York River Charters.

Photo is very deceptive! Riverwalk Landing was nice when it was first built but the county has destroyed it. The nice stores are no longer there! Not worth the trip. Williamsburg is a far better choice!

What it was all like way back in the beginning. Many beautiful old and well kept buildings, and monuments. A pleasant walking adventure on a nice day. The waterfront is also very nice with some nice little restaurants to sample

Years ago this was just a typical sidewalk, but now with brickwork and paving it is a very nice walkway with historical information, easy parking, some local shops and restaurants and some historical attractions. We usually visit in the off season when some things are closed and it is somewhat deserted, but it is lovely with the wide river and... More
