Other than a few restaurants, this location is pretty quiet in the winter. On a warm winter day people are out strolling, checking to see if any of the stores are open and find that most are not. Summers bring a lot more activity to the Riverwalk Landing.

Yorktown has done a fabulous job creating a water front venue offering something for everyone. You can stroll along the river, even get your toes wet at the sand beaches near the south end, stop for a drink or a meal at several restaurants, or visit the shops in the area. You can even visit the cave where Cornwallis holed... More

Shops, restaurants, and a view. Santa was there with a train ride for the kids. The fife and drum corps were playing and a farmer's market was in full swing. 75* but it helped me find some Christmas spirit. A lovely little place to walk with a beautiful view, take in lunch or buy a chotzki.

We did not go into many of the buildings here, but we were impressed by the neatness and cleanliness of this nice little area. It right on the water, so there is a beautiful view.

We visited here in November. Quiet, relaxing. Not many people around probably since it's off-season. Walked out on the pier and through the shops and restaurant area. Very nice - quaint, but not really much to do. We did see one family that must have signed up for a Segway tour because we saw them later as we walked through... More

Lots of history during the early 17th century. Limited attractions but you can have your quality time by the beach or go fishing by the pier for free and no license needed.

Several businesses had reduced hours when we were there. The area is clean and accessible. Activities mostly scheduled for weekends so Mon/Thurs. not much happening.

Extremely pleasant area to dine, walk or just enjoy the day. Small beach access. Rental for bikes, segue ways. Shops, galleries and restaurants. Free concerts summer and fall on Friday nights. Easy walk from Yorktown battlefield visitor center. Nice history museum.

My husband and I made this walk through Yorktown. It was incredibly beautiful, serene walk. It was like we were the only ones around and we were so impressed by the walk, buildings and beach were so clean.
