We drove out to look at the canyon but, it was a bit cold and windy and we didn't hike. Nice place to go back to in the spring or summer.

Aravaipa Canyon is the most beautiful natural habitat I have seen in the Southern Arizona area. There is year round water in the streams, so many trees, wildlife in its natural habitat, not to mention the historic background with the cliff dwellings so accessible.

This is probably the nicest hike in the state at low elevation, you can even go there in the summer because you stay cool in the shaded canyon and you must cross the creek so many times. Do not miss out on this place, it is not well known but it is spectacular.
