they had great smoothies and fried bananas! I think I ordered tacos which was good overall. My friend had a burrito which tasted great too. I will definitely go back. because their location is superb and the food selection was very beach-friendly.

Of course there are some "interesting" characters, but where else can you see amazing surfers of all kinds - especially impressed by the kit surfers who sail for hours on the waves. I actually saw a dolphin racing a wave alongside a surfer once. It's a nice long walk, and the pier is impressive. Breathe in the sea air!

Its so pretty along the promenade and take a walk out on the pier and enjoy the view of ocean, hills and the Ventura coast line. Have a drink or eat at Eric's on the Pier or Aloha Restaurant along the Promenade.

They have a well laid out path that is cemented and taken care of. They are a ton of surfers and it is just a great sight to see.

If I had visitors from out of town, this would definitely be one of my stops. There's a pier you can walk out on that usually has a few fishermen. The promenade is a nice walk. There is play equipment for the kids on the beach near the pier, a couple of restaurants (Aloha, Erik Erikson's and a taco shack),... More

Our visit was "off season" and on a Thursday. But, we were surprised that this long downtown pier had so few people. The views are great of the Ventura coast, Channel Islands, and wildlife. One comment....of the few people on the pier, there seemed to be several homeless. None bothered us, and we didn't feel uncomfortable.

The pier is a pleasant place to stroll when you come to it walking the sidewalk along the beach. There is a great sandwich type place to eat at the beginning of the pier. Enjoy the fishermen and please say hello to Michael who spends most of his days on the pier with his 3 dogs.

Beach city with great views of the beach with big hills inshore. You can see Channel Islands. The pier is a great place to enjoy, along with the Promenade. 2 good restaurants, 1 upscale. Nearby, on Thompson Blvd is the best pizza around, looks like a shack. Ventura County Fairgrounds is half a mile to the North. Great Bicycling, you... More

Love it! The walk down the pier was great and band playing made it even better. After the pierwe strolled down the walkway and took in the evening surfers. Lots of dogs happily playing
