Had all the amenities. Course is fairly well maintained and cheaper than most in California. Nothing too exciting but has some intersting holes especialy the par 3 over water. Didn't make it by the way.

Great course, interesting and challenging. Need your short irons on this one. No.1 hole looks easy, but it's not. Played this course many times, enjoyed every time.
Uninspired and boring. Not recommended. The City spent a ton of money renovating this course but it's basically unchanged from the old days. For some reason there always seems to be (ground) water in places where there shouldn't be. Sloggy. Of course, it's flat and windy. But that's Ventura so I suppose the course can't be downgraded on that basis....

Buenaventura's layout is much more hacker friendly. Open fairways, a few trees, not much water and NO sawgrass this course is friendly for the beginner and weekend warrior. If challange and difficulty is what you want it is only 1 mile away at Olivas. Great course, nice people and good value.
Great location to get married. They take care of everything for you! This review is way outdated though; we got married in September of 2006!
Ocean breezes golfing. Not far from the Ventura harbor, shops, beaches, if you want something to do after a round of golf.
I've been playing golf here for many years. Still no good at the game but enjoy more the older I get. It's one of the oldest courses in Ventura County but part of it was redone a few years ago. It's not a real challanging course for a good player but still challanging for the rest of us. I've played...
