We did the day trip to Anacapa Island and had a great time. The staff was great, including on the way over the captain slowed for dolphins and told us a lot about the area. It was more like a tour boat ride. On the island we took the nature tour with another employee and she was fabulous. We had... More

Great trip out to Santa Cruz Island with Island Packers. Got to see a huge pod of common dolphins. Enjoyed a guided hike from Prisoner's Harbor to Pelican Bay - highly recommended! For trip details, see DavidLeeTravel.com

Last month we took a kayaking trip to Anacapa Island in the Channel Islands National Park off of California's central coast, and this past Labor Day weekend, we took another kayaking trip to Santa Cruz Island in the Channel Islands National Park. On both trips, Island Packers was the boat / ferry ride that we took, and on both occasions... More

The staff was friendly & informative. Pointed out dolphins & sea lions. Santa Cruz island trails were very steep but the views were incredible. Would have liked to return a little earlier than scheduled as we were tired.

This was an excellent trip out into the ocean; I can't wait to tell you about the super pod of dolphins I was able to witness! I was able to see everything except a whale, but it wasn't a whale watch tour technically so I wasn't concerned. The crew of the boat were very friendly and informative. The price was... More

I'm a California native and have never been to any of the Channel Islands before. Island Packers ferry took us to Santa Cruz Island where we took the kayaking excursion. Be prepared; we went in August and the ferry ride was still very cold. On the way to Santa Cruz the ferry slowed down so we could watch the dolphins... More

Island Packers runs the most professional marine trips we have been on. We took the full day Whale Watch trip in August, when the Blue and Humpback whales are to be seen. (Winter for the Grey Whales). Captain and staff were very engaging and informative. Boat is exceptionally clean, a mark of pride on any vessel. Limited snack bar, so... More

6 ladies on a wine tasting jazz sunset cruise around the harbor was the perfect ending to a perfect day. While the cruise did advertise R&B jazz, that wasn't exactly what we received but the music was nice nonetheless, captain Greg and his staff were very accomodating and the wine and apps were good. we truly made our own fun... We booked a whale watching trip with Island Packers. We spent 8 hours on the boat. We saw 3 different species of whales, dolphins, sea lions, bald eagles and lots of small birds. The whales came so close that they almost hit our boat. The trip was far above awesome and totally worth the money you pay. We strongly recommend... More

We rode out to the Channel Islands and were told we will see whales. We saw two whales from 1/2 mile away and that was it!! Very disappointing.
