Painted Dunes used to be a premier course, but now I can't really recommend it. If you visit El Paso, play the new course in town, Butterfield Trail, instead. It's a Tom Fazio premier course. I DID NOT like this golf course at all. I was expecting much more from this course given the cost to play. Staff members are very rude!! Sand traps where not sand but hard soil with very large rocks!! Most of the greens not that good!! And fairways had holes! I wouldn’t even use the driving range if it was... more

My son and I signed up for the Fathers day tournament and had a great time and a fine meal afterwards in the club house. This event was well organized and the course was in great shape. Everyone was friendly. I look forward to next years event. Thank you to all that made this a day to remember. more

It is a very good course. Challenging, and some holes are very tricky. Go for distance, and you may be rewarded. Mostly, the greens are very good. more

Course was OK, not what I thought. Everything was brown, greens had a lot of repair spots. Lay out was great. Personell very rude, were on you like flies on a pile of do-do. Not a place to go and have a good relaxing round of golf. Played Senoma course 40 miles North, in Los Cruses, and loved it. more
