Wonderful pedestrian bridge provides a nice walk for viewing the sunset or even the sunrise. Great views from the bridge with rest stops in the middle if you need. It starts in LR and the other side is NLR. Also some take it in on bicycles although it is a pedestrian bridge. Check it out if you have time.

The largest dam/pedestrian bridge in the world. Well lit. Safe for ladies and families. Beautiful View!

It's a nice walk though can be over crowded sometimes and not as enjoyable. I prefer twin bridges right next to it for walking/running

Bridge for all, runners walkers, bikers, dogs, young and old. They did have a problem with pet owners not picking up after their pets, but they have fixed that.

This structure is amazing! We loved walking and bike riding across it, as it connects the River trail across the river. If you go near sunset, the view is awesome.

This wasn't the easiest to get to, but our GPS got us here. We went through several small neighborhoods. We parked in the South Parking lot and walked to the North parking lot across the Arkansas river. My fitness calculator showed that I walked 4,400 steps over and back which is about 2 miles. The North gate was closed for... More

Road bikes on south river trail, some closures, but mostly well marked for visitors. Great path along road and polite traffic to bike riders. North side of bridge was closed on 6/18 due to recent flood of Arkansas River, to

If you find yourself in Central Arkansas and like running, walking, or biking, the Big Dam Bridge should be on your short list of places to go and things to see. We are lucky to have a great river trail system in Central Arkansas, and the Big Dam Bridge is one of its most used and beloved components. The view... More

I have always enjoyed the Big Dam bridge when visiting Central Arkansas. Whether longboarding, biking, or just walking and talking with someone, the bridge is always a good time. The approach is pretty steep, but people in decent shape should have no problems. There are some benches & telescopes at the top to sit and enjoy the river below. Parking... More

I took my three small girls and we did the walk across the bridge and back. The river was flooded and rapid. The water levels were high. The girls loved being outside and we're very eager to see all six bridges. We made it to three and this being our favorite. Little Rock offers plenty of free activities and this... More
