Visited this beautiful park on a side trip. Beautiful hiking trails that are well marked. The park is free. The staff at ranger station at the scenic overlook were very helpful, even providing me with a map and directions to my next stop. No fee for use of this gem of a park.

I grew up in Pinnacle Valley with Pinnacle Mountain in my backyard, long before the area became a state park, so I'm kind of partial when it comes to Pinnacle. If you like to hike/climb, this is definitely the spot for you. You have Two options to pick from The West trail is the easier of the two and located... More

I'm a 51 year old female who was talked into climbing Pinnacle Mountain with my daughter and son-in-law on a very cold and windy January day (38* at start, 27* at end). Because I had never seen reviews about this mountain, I assumed it would be a hefty ascent to reach the top but hey, it would be okay because... More

I would recommend that you take the time and hike this mountain. Take water and dress in layers as you will need to take off as you go up. I went up the tough side with my son & girlfriend. Great time

If you like to hike/climb, this is the spot for you. The East Summit trail is climbing actual rocks to get to the summit of the mountain. Definitely a challenge with the West trail being the easier option. We went up the East trail, down the West trail, and around the base trail back to our car. Can't recommend enough.

Pinnacle Mountain has something for everyone: a fairly difficult climb to the peak for the young and energetic, a playground for the kids, picnic tables and facilities for family outings, and a paved trail along the river where you can step inside the trunk of a humongous cypress tree and watch for birds. The Visitor's Center has nature displays and... More

It was my second time to climb Mt. Pinnacle, my 12 year old daughter joined me this time. She was able to reach the summit with no problem. The west trail starts off easy but the incline increases significantly about half way up. You get a great lower body workout as you step up each of the large rocks. I... More

Great place to hike, walk, jog, and do non-technical climbing. There are easy walking trails at the base on the west side, and the west climb is good exercise and fun. The east face requires more skill, mobility, and endurance.
