Cedar City is a great place to see Shakespeare. The performances are always reasonable to great, the city is very welcoming, and the surrounding high desert is great.

The Theatre and the surrounding patio are quite charming. The adjacent Greenshow stage adds to the historical ambience. The seating is comfortable. The shows are excellent. In addition there are seminars under the trees where you can meet actors, directors, staff and learn about all facets of the productions. Your experience will be much richer if you read about the... This was a lot of fun to have an outside theater. It has more of an atmosphere being outside in the old style theater with the actors. The acting was great and the experience lots of fun. Make sure you go early to see the "Green Show" which is dancing and singing. Great fun.

If you enjoy theatre...this is the place for you! I've seen 15 plays in this space (and nearly that many Green Shows on the lawn outside) each of which was entertaining, well acted, with marvelous costumes and sets. We come back year after year because the Utah Shakespeare Festival is simply terrific.

I love the Utah Shakespeare Festival and I LOVE seeing plays in the Adams...but I understand it will be removed when the new theater complex is completed. I'm excited for the new space...but will definitely miss the Adams and it's location. As I understand it...when it was built it was the closest representation of Shakespeare's Globe to be found. A... The Utah Shakespeare Festival is top notch. The plays in both the outdoor and indoor theatre are always wonderful. We have been coming to the Festival for many years and it never disappoints. In addition to exceptionally performed plays there are many free activities that add to the overall experience and are free -- a nightly Greenshow, pre-show orientations, morning... More

I have seen many Shakespeare plays - many of them more than once. This was the first time I have seen The Tempest. The two actors who played the drunks were hilarious. Great Play.

Excellent theater with no bad seats. Saw “The Tempest”, which was excellent. You may want to bring a seat cushion if you need some extra padding. It was quite warm, so I suggest you buy/bring a fan. Other plays we saw were Peter and The Star Catcher and Anything Goes. All were top notch performances.

Both productions were very well performed and gave many novel and entertaining interpretations that I found to be very useful in understanding and enjoying the play. I also enjoyed the play orientations given by Fred Adams before each performance.

Take a light jacket even in the Summer because sometimes it can cool off significantly when the sun goes down. We have been in seats from every angle, the back and the balcony and there just are no bad seats.
