This was a great place and loved the safari ride so when faced with a chance to go again, we did. We drove out of our way for 2 more hours and on arrival we were told not enough tickets for the safari were purchased so we were unable to go on. Driving so far out of our way was... More

We visited this game preserve last April and were pretty impressed. For a game preserve in the northeast, and for being very early spring, we were surprised by the variety of wildlife they had from throughout the world. A must stop for anyone traveling Rt 15 through this section of Maryland.

This preserve had a great variety of animals for its size. The enclosures seemed to be adequate sizes for almost all of the animals and I didn't see any concerning conditions. The grounds were beautiful in the fall leaves (although I missed many seasonal things) and I took some great photos! I will definitely be returning in the warmer months... More

For a small zoo it was very well planned and plenty of animals to see. Be sure to purchase cups of food to feed the animals. Don't worry there are stations with hand sanitizer and places to wash your hands. They offer camel rides for an additional $5.00. The Japanese koi Display was wonderful. You could stand on a platform... More

We almost cannot understand the "negative" reviews. We had an absolutely GREAT time. We took our two-year-old and five-year-old grandchildren. We bought the five-year-old an annual pass which gave the rest of us a 20% discount on admission. With the pass he got a safari ride, the camel ride, and parakeet feeding. The rest of us joined him on the... More

Clean and nice. Small zoo so can be done in 2 or 3 hours. Safari was fun and you got to feed bison emu and ostriches. Add an hour for that.

It is so sad to see the wild animals in such a small cages. the cages for wolves, gorillas and pumas were so small for them, we felt so bad when we saw the wolves trying to run in a minimun space. the animals look depressed, stress, and extremelly sad. Worst part was seeing a gorilla trying to get out,... More

Overpriced and TERRIBLE!!!!! My husband and I visited this preserve with our daughter and 2 year old grandson. They had been before and had enjoyed the camel ride and feeding the animals. We thought the place was depressing and horrible. The animals were crowded into small cages. Not at all like their natural habitat. We also took the safari ride.... More

This zoo has one of the most amazing collections of venomous snakes!! The "hot house" as soon as you walk in, has a fantastic selection of snakes that are very difficult to find in one place anywhere else I've ever been. Truly a gem in the zoo. The rest of the zoo has your "normal" selection of animals - alpaca,... More

Dirty, stinky (more than your average zoo), at least 4 displays looked like the animals were neglected. Way overpriced!! We won't be back.
