Nice small Zoo

Clean and nice. Small zoo so can be done in 2 or 3 hours. Safari was fun and you got to feed bison emu and ostriches. Add an hour for that.

It is so sad to see the wild animals in such a small cages. the cages for wolves, gorillas and pumas were so small for them, we felt so bad when we saw the wolves trying to run in a minimun space. the animals look depressed, stress, and extremelly sad. Worst part was seeing a gorilla trying to get out,... More

Overpriced and TERRIBLE!!!!! My husband and I visited this preserve with our daughter and 2 year old grandson. They had been before and had enjoyed the camel ride and feeding the animals. We thought the place was depressing and horrible. The animals were crowded into small cages. Not at all like their natural habitat. We also took the safari ride.... More

This zoo has one of the most amazing collections of venomous snakes!! The "hot house" as soon as you walk in, has a fantastic selection of snakes that are very difficult to find in one place anywhere else I've ever been. Truly a gem in the zoo. The rest of the zoo has your "normal" selection of animals - alpaca,... More

Dirty, stinky (more than your average zoo), at least 4 displays looked like the animals were neglected. Way overpriced!! We won't be back.

We enjoy visiting this small Zoo. If you like snakes, there are many exhibits. We enjoyed all the animals, but wish that some of the larger ones had bigger roaming areas. Lots of shaded areas and benches to sit, rest, and reflect.

So this is a great regional zoo. It took us about 6 hours to cover everything which included a Safari ride which was extra above admission and a camel ride that was additional cost. Feeding the animals is also extra. The exhibits were good the petting zoo was very active and the kids (12 and 8) had a great time.... More

First off, I have seen some of the other reviews and while I appreciate what is said I think it is important to put things in perspective: this is not the San Diego or other zoos - it is a small regional zoo (which are few and far between). Within that context it is a great place. It is clean,... More

The zoo has too many cool things to talk about. Scary snakes...feeding parakeets... a rocking chair/bamboo oasis. The bear is a hoot as is the peacock and the dingos. But BY FAR the best part is the ridiculously rough safari ride. Worth the extra charge just to see the crazy guy running behind the truck. We had a blast!

This zoo had 4 exhibits that showed complete negligence and/or confinement. The other exhibits were pretty good especially the tiger exhibit. If the zoo spent money bettering the depressing habitats, I would give it 3 or 4 stars. The most depressing exhibit was that of the sun bears. Their enclosure while reasonably large was was not roomy enough for its... More
