I traveled to New York for this Memorial Day weekend to visit my daughter and to finally see the play Wicked. I wanted to go years ago to see the original cast members Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel, but this cast, especially the leads, did not disappoint. I tried so hard to fight back the tears during “For Good”, but... More

This was a real treat. I had really avoided going to the play considering what it was about but went after so many people loved it. They were all right. The theatre is terrific but its the unbelievable cast that is so eyepoppingly amazing that you just can't believe it. The story, singing, acting is all really something making it... More

This was a fabulous performance for children and adults. My two teenage daughters, my husband and I really enjoyed it. The acting, costumes and set were all fantastic! I would highly recommend this while in New York!

The performers, both on the stage and under, are fantastic in this show. At times, I could have sworn they were playing a CD, because the orchestra was practically flawless. The singing and acting are top-notch, not that you would expect anything else on Broadway. The story was average and had a few holes in it, but was still entertaining.... More

Our first Broadway play was without a doubt a hit. We enjoyed wicked very much, specially the great humor and special twist to an epic story we all know very well. We highly recommend this play.

This performance of the "other" version of the Wizard of Oz captured our attention and emotions from the very beginning to the very end. The star roles featuring Caroline Bowman and Kara Lindsay could not have been better. I truly felt transported back to Oz with familiar characters with a different side to the story. Costumes and makeup were masterfully... More

Very disappointed. The rave reviews are obviously from the kind of people who visit Disneyworld and like that kitsch! While the 'spectacle' was adequate but no better than many other average shows, and the storyline is clever at times (but bizarre and ridiculous at others), the singing was truly bad. The "Noi Joisey' accents are perhaps acceptable / liked by... More

Wicked was soooo good! You will never look at the Wizard of Oz the same again. The music was fantastic and the story is extraordinary. You will realize why the wicked witch of the west is green and why the flying monkeys are so loyal to her, and beyond that, you will get a brand new perspective of how the... More

We visited here with high expectations and were really looking forward to being wowed in what is a beautiful theatre. We found the plot slow to develop but did enjoy the second act more. I guess we expected the special effects to be more breathtaking. The lead characters were well played. Glinda delivered a great performance and some good comedy... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
