We went with two friends visiting the area. It was so fun and the staff was great with people who had never been trapeezing before!!! Members of our party ended the session being able to hang upsie down and be caught by a man. Even myself who was not good at trapeezing at all had a ton of fun. There... More

We took 2 classes with TSNY (we enjoyed it so much we went back!) and personally I can't fault them. Very safety conscious but also fun. They also seem expert at managing groups of varying ability. Be warned, the pace is fast and you learn a lot quickly, don't expect to be eased in. Just go for it and have... More

I took 2 16 year old girls. It was the best experience. They taught well and they taught safely. They took the time to get each student going. The girls were flying through the air and being caught by the end of the 2 hour class.I would recommend this for anyone who is somewhat athletic and likes to try new... More

A large rope set up on the rooftop of pier 40, you swing from the bar with a view of the new york skyline on the horizon, and you'll be doing knee-hangs and backflips in no time! Myself and my brother went having never done trapeze at all, and after one session we were able to be caught by another... More

I took my 12 yr old son to Trapeze school, and he loved it so much that he bought himself a second lesson. I was very impressed by how the staff encouraged and enabled each student to reach their best potential... from tiny 8 year old girls who loved just swinging from the trapeze bar, to adults who were able... I took my 15 year old niece to the outdoor facility at Pier 16 at the South Street Seaport. The weather was beautiful and the staff was terrific. Thanks to Annie, Lucas, Lauren & Luis. The first time up on the platform is nerve-racking but after the first swing it becomes easier to enjoy. Maybe it's because I'm 51 and... More

I took a two hour class today at Pier 40. I am 12 years old, and I did it alone. They started out telling us how to jump off the platform and hook our knees on the bar. I think that everyone was a little bit scared at first, but once you did it for the first time, you wanted... More

Our family of 4 had the best experience at the TSNY! It was exhilarating, empowering, and the most fun we had collectively in NYC. The instructors are VERY professional and have excellent teaching skills. I felt that my safety and the safety of my family (kids ages 13,10) were of the utmost importance to the staff. If you want an... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
