Big lines. But the experience is great. The first experience is the trip to the top in the lift.....Wow! Next the views.....brill. For photographers, take the filters of your lenses. In April although the lines were big they did move smoothly enough. I will be back.

I recommend this sight. I think the view is more worth it than empire state building, which is very expensive ($55 to go to the very top with 45mn wait when I was there), so I wen to top of the Rock, from where you actually have a good view on empire state building and world trade centre new tour,... I love the vantage point this offers; you can see all of Manhattan, including Central Park. It is different than the Empire State and also less expensive and crowded.

We had pre-booked our tickets but still had to exchange them for a time. On the day we arrived, there were no tickets left so get down there a few days before you want to visit and hope for the best with the weather. Staff were very helpful with this though and suggested the best time to go up in... More

Long lines, but seem to move quickly. The views of the city are amazing. Go at sunset to get a beautiful view of Empire State Building.

Extremely informative about the history of the building with plenty of photographs and a very good audio tour. Photo opportunity too but you were not pushed into having the picture taken and could walk on. Views fabulous. Our first day in New York so everything was awesome and picking out other famous buildings interesting.

Great place to see the whole city if you have never been to NYC and you want to know the geography. It can be windy so prepare if it's cold. We had kids and they really enjoyed it.

We had prebooked our tickets and arrived about 5 minutes before our scheduled time. We were shown straight through and after viewing an interesting video while waiting for the elevator, up we went. The views from the top are spectacular, especially looking down over Central Park and across at the Empire State Building. It is worth going up to the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
