A friend of mine recommended this observatory over the Empire State Building, and I'm glad I chose this. We went at night and the city lights were just great, which included a view of the Empire State Building. It would have been a great view during the day also, with a daytime view of Central Park. Very organized.

Visited this attraction two weeks ago with my wife and granddaughter. In my view, it offers the very best views of Manhattan.

We had a fabulous sunny day to take in the breathtaking sites. I found the uniformed staff refreshing, in that they seemed happy and joking with one another. It seems to indicate a nice place to work. We were not aware with our City Pass that one had to actually show and make a reservation to go up. That was... More

Easy booking in process, didn't take too long to reach the Observation deck There is a good 360 degree view of the New York skyline One slight reservation, it was a hazy day, so would have seen more on a clear day, had the same experience at the top of the Empire State Building, so if you are wanting to... We were lucky that next coming up tour was just 1 h away. Meanwhile we took Rockefeller center tour that I will review in the correspondent place in trip advisor. (Excellent by the way). It was just perfect time to go up without lines or waiting. The view, amazing... 360° of magnificent buildings and green areas. You can see the... More

This is one of those things I'd always say "we have to do that one of these trips" so we finally had a free block of time and decided to give it a try. You do sort of feel like cattle being herded along thru one line after another for a while one line to go in, then one to... More

Loved the views, too much of a tourist trap with going thru lots of things I'd prefer to bypass, though I had Priority tickets at $58 per person and with that we were able to move fast up to the top to check out the views. We wished it was open like the Empire State Building terraces. Tried not to... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
