It cost $29 to pay on the door. I have read reviews on here saying there were long queues. we went mid week at 11 am and we did not have to queue to pay or go up. Before you go up you follow a walkway with information about the rockefeller centre and it's history and then you go up... More

As much as I would recommend going up to the top of the Empire State Building, I would recommend to anybody going to New York not to leave NYC without going to the Top of the Rock first, the views from here are breathtaking. I absolutely loved them.

Just had to be done to be able to see the Empire state from a high view point! I wouldn't say one is better than the other as I think if you can afford it, do both. I also like the interactive tools as you were waiting to go to the top!

This is a great way to see New York and the Empire State Building! Easy to get tickets, go on up, look around, it's great. Definitely do this over the Empire State building because you get to actually SEE the Empire State building.

A great place to visit - take the time to listen/watch the 3 videos before you go up to the top. The views are incredible - we were lucky that it was a very clear day (the temperatures were sub zero but it was a beautiful day!) and we could see all the way to the Statue of Liberty. Don't... More

The tickets to visit the Top of the Rock are timed so you must be ready to return later to actually go to the top. The crowds were almost suffocating! Once we got to the top it was all good. The views are outstanding (not as good as Empire State Building!). You do get a different perspective of the city.

Great view over Central Park to the north, Empire State and Chrysler buildings to the south. A bit of a palaver to get in, and not cheap at about $30 per person, but it's probably the best view in NYC.

Amazing amazing amazing! It's the same kind of views as the Empire State Building but still, it's gotta be done! I'd recommend you go on a clear day so you get the best experience but it's just great to stand and see everything when your that high up! Staff were friendly and we didn't have much of a wait.

The view is great, thay have a great glass window so there's no wind and you can see all over Central Park en on the other sight you see the Empire... More
