Having visited the Empire State building on our last trip, we finally made it to Top of the Rock this trip - what this location lacks in height compared to Empire State, it makes up for in views - not least due to the fact that you get a great view of the Empire State building itself as well as... The view from the top of Rockefeller Center is wonderful. You can see downtown, uptown, New Jersey, and Long Island without much trouble. It was a gray overcast day that I was there but the view was still great. The line to get to the top was like a Disney World line. There were a multitude of languages being spoken... More

What can you really say about 360 degree views of NYC at night! Just spectacular from all parts and just a different, more open feel than The Empire State Building. Will definitely have to return during the day. A breathtaking experience.

Since we did the Gray Line Bus Tour, the tickets for Top of the Rock only cost $10 per person, instead of the usual $29. You are taken, I believe, 67 floors up with an option to go to the 69th floor, and the 70th floor. We tried all 3 (included in the cost) and the views were awesome! Since... More

this is a better skyscraper to visit than EMPIRE STATE BUILDING. although i live here in New York City for almost 30 years, i haven't been to this attraction since EMPIRE STATE BUILDING is the more popular of the two. although, TOP OF THE ROCK is fairly new compared to EMPIRE STATE BUILDING. i decided to bring my friends who... Overall not worth the admission given the height of the tower isnt that impressive. However, it does offer picture taking from all directions and is outside so the view is "clearer" than in front of glass windows. Of course wind or rain will ruin the experience quite a bit. But thats the downside of being "open structured". We encountered rude... More

Even though we didn't , have been told a must at night. Take the time to do all 3 levels of observation, shops inside, and then the plaza. Very memorable.

We pre-booked the Sun and Stars offer, meaning you go to the top twice. We had a pre-booked slot of 9AM, this meant there was no queuing and the place wasn't overly busy. The views from the top are amazing and it has free wi-fi so you can check in and be the talk of your jealous friends. We then... More
