Loved it. Went there at about 10:30 pm for the night view. Very nice employees at the desk. Cool elevator, they turn the lights off and you look up to the ceiling and see these little blue lights in the elevator shaft as the elevator goes up, I liked that. On top, it has 3 levels I think. You actually... more

Top of the Rock has some of the most incredible views of the city. It is a must see if you are in NYC. Definitely better than the Empire State building IMO. more

Great views, no lines, no crowds...100% better than Empire State Building with beautiful views of Central Park. Don't forget the 3rd observation deck does not have glass so you can get some great photos...well worth the money and time! more

As you're getting oriented to NYC, it helps to take your map to the Top of the Rock (or other) and get a clear, unadulterated view of the city. Is it worth $20 per....yikes....no regrets for us, but I think that's a bit much for most families and disappointing to think they'd miss it.... more

Great all around view of NYC. Nice that you can see Central Park on one side, and downtown Manhattan on the other. Went with our 2 teens, and we all loved it! A definitely "must do" in NYC. 3 levels of observation decks, and an inner glass enclosed area with benches is available too. more

We bought tickets online a few days in advance so had been able to listen to the free podcast before we arrived in NY. The podcast talks you through the history of Rockefeller and points out the most interesting sights you’ll take in from the top – it definitely added to the richness of the whole experience of looking out... more

Visited in early June. Went mid-day, with no crowds, friendly staff and great views. Sure you are not as high as the Empire State Building-only 70 stories instead of 86, but the views are still fantastic and you have three stories both indoor and outdoor to wonder around. We did the Empire State also--but in the future would skip it... more

Going to Top of the Rock was my husband's favorite part of our visit to NYC. We went on a tuesday not long before dusk so we enjoyed the magnificent view before and after the lights of the city came on. There was no waiting in line and we enjoyed the view from all sides without it being too crowded,... more

The view from Top of the Rock is like no other I have ever seen. My wife and I went on a cloudy day around 6:00 pm. To my amazement, there was absolutely no lines anywhere. We walked up to the ticket counter, went through security, and straight to the top we went; all in the matter of 10 minutes.... more
