The views at thw top of the rock are amazing, especially if you are able to go when there is not alot of other tourists around. Its alot better than the empire state building and most of the staff are great. There were however a few security members by the enterance and exit who were really rude however - and... More

After queuing for a long time, you get to the top and professional photographs were blocking peoples views which was a real shame after you have paid to be up there. However once you eventually squeeze by to look, the views are breathtaking.

You have to go up during the afternoon, just before the sunset so you will get beautiful pics with the lights of the day, sunset and night. Beautiful panoramic view of central park. Enjoy the view of the Empire State Building with its lights during the night and an spectacular view of Brooklyn/Queens and New Jersey. Views are better from... More

we did both, Empire State was good, but this was better! We did tour as well, which was well done by Helga. We went on a isty day and they offered to re-rrange for following day when due to be clear, Glad they did - well worth it. Due to building this has better all round views of NewYork -... More

We got lucky with the weather the day we went, but wow - what a view! There are several levels to view from - inside and outside. You get an totally unobstructed view of Central park (beautiful). And you can see the Empire State Building in its full glory! Best tip - Buy the Sun and Stars ticket. It's a... More

Just fabulous, we didn't book and just turned up on the off chance, thought it was going to be manic, Monday at lunchtime, only had to wait half an hour for our time slot and there's definitely enough to see in the shops and food court to kill 30 minutes. Really well organised and minimal queuing. Views of Central Park... More

I visited Top of the Rock on January 4th, 2014 for the very first time. I went there with my then boyfriend and it was amazing! To my surprise, he proposed to me there, during the sunset, in front of the Empire State Building. I couldn't have imagined a more romantic way to get engaged! It was the happiest day... More

Best view in the city. Not as tall as Empire State Building, but better view of Central Park. Getting ESB in the skyline shot made all the difference.

As a previous New York visitor and now a New Yorker for 8 years I really enjoy the Top of the Rock. First you can book and pay on line and schedule an appointment, brilliant! You arrive, security is thorough but quick, you then can see a short film about Rockefeller Center or not, your choosing. You then have the... More

Great views over Manhattan with the Empire State Building up front and centre. Not as high as the ESB but no less impressive. Photo opportunity before reaching the top with the backdrop as workmen on the ledge! Good souvenir.
