This casual quality market has the most variety of cheeses, I love the fish and the bread. I had a cup of coffee at the coffee shop. I enjoyed the feta and spinach croissant. Great food!!!

Went to Zab as today for their delicious ruggalach. The chocolate ones are the best. Freeze them and eat them cold. Mmmm. Their potato knish's are kobe made and delicious too. An experience . Go....

Zabar's is a New York classic and a must stop for visitors and locals. I'm sure those in charge of Eataly picked up some ideas from Zabar's. You'll find the best smoked salmon, cheese, crackers and deli needs for yourself or for your next part. I love the market, but the deli needs a bit of work. The deli is... More

Last went to Zabar's in the early '80's. I was impressed. Went there a week ago. I'm 30+ years older and just as impressed. I left with containers of salmon meatballs and Italian meatballs, and some onion rolls, which served as lunch. Less than $5 for all, and tasty as all get out. If there's something gourmet you need, they... More

We went here because my wife wanted me to try Knishes. We were told this was one of the best places to get them in the Upper West Side, so we gave it a try. We split a Knish, Blintz, and Latkes, and each had a coffee. Even though it was carb heavy, it filled us up and tasted pretty... More

We came here last September, and it was fantastic. My mother comes from New York, and I envy her that she was able to go here whenever she wanted as a girl.

This market is fantastic! If I lived in New York I would go out of my way to shop here. The selection is unbelievable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We purchased some items and had them shipped back home and the process couldn't have been easier. I will visit this market every time I'm in New York!

Originally born and bred in Brooklyn, I can never remember a time when Zabars wasn't part of our lives. Living in upstate NY for almost 50 years, I keep in touch online and every time I am in the City. Their cheese department is outstanding and the people helping you actually know the subtle differences between the a 6 month... More

Service — Quick and friendly. Rushed... but the atmosphere demanded it! Food — Coffee and a bagel. Cappuccino and a pastry. Everything was good or better. Value — Prices were moderate; especially when considering location. Atmosphere — Informal and comfortable for a quick bite. Not a place to 'hang out.'

Every trip to NYC I visit Zabars. I love the market and the kitchen ware upstairs. You can grab a bagel and salmon or a egg custard! Dont miss this place.
