Truly authentic New York style food ! LOTS of history here - wanna feel like a New Yorker then check out Zabar's ! Their sandwiches and paninis are awesome and try their Mahtzo ball soup.

If you want a totally unique New York experience, get yourself to Zabars deli on the Upper West; a local Jewish neighbourhood deli, jam packed with freshly baked strudels, bagels, special blend coffee, cheeses, olives......you name it.

Zabar's has been a top place to purchase food in NY for decades. A visit to the city should include a walk on Broadway from Fairway at 74th, to Citarella next door at 75th to Zabar's at 80th. However, Zabar's is resting on its laurels and has grown lazy. You must check the fresh-date stamps in the diary as some... More

I admire the quality of products they carry at Zabar's. The value for the quality of smoked salmon and salmon caviar is great. Somkedfish pate is amazing.Their selection of artisan breads is extensive and impressive.Always freshly made and soft. (The danger is you can eat the half of it before you get home so don't start :)) I find myself... More

When I travel to NYC I always stop at zabar's for some orange juice and my favorite bagel! Clean, cheap and right in the middle of one of the nicest areas in NYC.

I have seen this place and it's bags in so many TV and movie shows. Friends, Heart of Dixie, Sex and the city. Had to get lunch there. its not far from Central Park. Bought some delicious pickles, cheese, cold cuts and bread. I still have the bags they all came in, what a memory.

From the time we walked in for the first time of our three week visit to NYC, we loved it. The bagels are to die for!!! The choices of cheeses, olives, meat, fish, ready made meals, coffees, etc....the list goes on. Will definitely be back for a matzo ball soup and a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel.

Was recommended a visit at Zabar's by a lady I met in the Subway. She was right! I would have lost out on a culinary and ambiance experience if I hadn't made it here!!! Late Saturday lunch, hot Reuben sandwich, coffee crumble cake and a big latte... A lot of food and veeeeeery tasty! It is really hard to choose,... More

Those were the things that we bought at the little deli on the corner. The service was fast and friendly. The OJ was delicious and in a cute little package. The prices were fair. I wish I could comment on the quality of either of these items but this is the first I have had them. I enjoyed the Knish... More
