There are a few stores in the museum and 1 across the street as well. Apart from art books and souvenirs, the stores have a huge array of design items for the kitchen, for kids, furniture etc. I wanted to get decorative plates but too bad these $450 plates don't come with their own stands. But I always get my... More

If you don't make the MOMA itself, the next best thing is to spot one of their stores for some interesting shopping. The Spring St. location is a good source for books, children's toys, housewares, cooking items, and more. Wonderful design for everyday products. Wonderful!

We always stop by the design store either before or after we visit MoMA. Well worth the time... they stock unusual, fun, inventive, creative things here - household objects, jewelry, toys, accessories, etc.

This is a wonderful shop where one can find interesting gifts and unique household gadgets. There is a wonderful selection of poster art that keeps your memory of the museum alive. If you have spent the time and effort to see the MoMA, do not forget the design store. BTW, there is a second location in SoHo but I still... More

Stopped by on the way to the MoMA and enjoyed looking at all of the museum-inspired gadgets and housewares. The store even includes a mini MUJI section in the back. Great source for interesting and unique gifts.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
