After reading some previous online reviews....I expected the theater to be cold, the pages to be nauseating and David to be impersonal. Well, no on all counts! After picking up our tickets, we walked around for 30 minutes before returning and getting in line with our group. Groups are determined numerically and we waited about 15 minutes before going into... More

If you like standing in lines for two hours for a forty minute show this is your big apple. First you stand in line for the lottery of tickets. Then you get to wait for the phone call and oh boy your a winner, next you stand in line in the sun or rain for an hour or more to... More

Really enjoyed Late Night with David Letterman. Overall a lot of fun - the down side is there is a Lot of waiting in lines. First you apply on-line for tickets, if your lucky they call and give you a number to call back. You don't have tickets yet, but your close - you have to answer a trivia question... More

Despite what they tell you on the phone, you will be there for a few hours. You have to pick up your tix around 2, this takes at least 30 minutes. Then you will be told to come back about 30 minutes later. Then you will be at the taping. For us, this meant we were there from 2:15 to... More

The whole experience was fun seeing the taping and "behind the camera" how the show was filmed. Everything looks VERY different than it does when you see it on TV! You have to submit your request for tickets online (or you can wait in a stand-by line, but that is hit or miss depending on how many people are there... More

I am a bit on the fence about the whole thing because it did take up an entire afternoon and frankly the guests that were on weren't that funny (luck of the draw to some degree). On the other hand, there are not that many shows left, so it was nice to get to go before the run ended. It... More

We were able to get tickets after applying online and they called the day that we were arriving in the City to see if we would like to come to the show. Answered our trivia question and we were in. It does take alot of your day by the time you line up to pick up your tickets, stand through... More

Tickets cannot be bought. You have to sign in at the theatre and if you are lucky they would call you to attend. afternoon is wasted between getting the tickets, standing in line, getting ready to go in and the instructions given before being seated. however, once in, it is definitely a good New York Experience. My husband has been a fan of Letterman since the 80s, so when we decided to go to NYC, he submitted an online request for tickets to the show. About a week before our trip, someone from the show called and asked if we were still interested in coming. Of course we were! So, I had to answer one question... More

At first I was thrilled that I scored tickets for this show. When we arrived we began the "airport style security" check in and then subjected to the Late Show audience prep staff. For about two hours before the show we were prepared to fake laugh, clap and woohoo at any thing whenever they prompted us. By the time we... More
