Fun to see a taping in Dave's Last Season

Out walking on Broadway in NYC last week, we spotted the David Letterman studio doors. There was a sign saying 'Box Office Open', so we went in. Signed up for the lottery tog... read more

What's left to say? It was the absolutely BEST experience. I'm so happy I got to see Dave before he retires. Truly the end of an era....

We went to a few TV show tapings during our week in NYC, and we found them more entertaining than expensive Broadway shows. Given that show tapings are free, so much for value-for-money! If you want better seats for David’s Late Show, I would suggest coming earlier than the instructions given [I’m referring to the second line up you go... More

The David Letterman Show machine is so honed and fined tune after 20 plus years that what you see in person is the same as you have seen on TV for years. The problem in person is there is soooooooo much pointless waiting before the show. Lining up at 2 to 3 PM - not fun when it is 35... More

What a great experience! Everything runs smoothly, from the phone call telling us we'd been chosen to attend a show taping, to lining up to receive our tickets, then returning to actually enter the theatre...everything was well handled. Great experience, lots of fun. Attended with my young adult child.

Out walking on Broadway in NYC last week, we spotted the David Letterman studio doors. There was a sign saying 'Box Office Open', so we went in. Signed up for the lottery tog et tickets, and we won! Had to arrive a bit before the taping as expected. The Pages are really fun college age kids. Dave's pre show warm... More

I was walking by the Ed Sullivan theatre about 2 weeks ago and the lure of free tickets got me in the door and two weeks later I was watching Dave with one of my best friends. It's a super relaxed show compared to some I've been to in the city, Dave is a real gentleman and there's also some... More

Had a great time at the David Letterman Show this evening!!! I requested tickets about two weeks ago, and got super lucky and got a phone call about tickets the day before the show. The orchestra was amazing, and David Letterman was hilarious!!

My partner and I were just walking past and we were asked to enter the lottery. What did we have to lose? We were lucky enough to get a call back for the next days show. The atmosphere is what makes this an amazing experience. Honestly, seeing Letterman live is a million times better than on TV. They don't have... More

My husband and I didn't even plan on going. We just happened to be walking to the National History Museum and passed this on the way. Noticed a few people out the front and went to see if there were any tickets available. We applied in person and had to call them an hour later (as we're from Australia) to... More

Knowing I would be in NYC for business during a taping session I applied for tickets online a month in advance. I got a call on a Sunday afternoon to answer a simple trivia question and we received 2 tickets. You arrive early for check in and announcements / protocol items and finally let inside. The staff does a good... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
