I have loved David Letterman since I was about 10 !! On my first trip to NYC I was not able to get tickets ! :( He actually was on hiatus according to the sign on the door -- but my second trip - I got tickets - I was kinda an ordeal to obtain the tickets - you stand... More

Well my husband and I are fans and we wanted to see his show before he retired. You have to go online and ask for tickets. We followed the instructions, they called us the day before the taping, asked some trivia questions and we were in. Yes we waited in line, then you wait more in a nearby bar, not... More

Very cool. Funny and good music and it's non-stop action they whole time you're there - and it's FREE! The band is top notch and would be a good show in itself. The time goes by quickly - I was surprised how little of the filming is edited out of the broadcast...these guys are professionals all around.

Got our tickets in the lottery, great show, no big name guests on the show this time, but the experience of the live recording is well worth the waiting.

Before our trip to NYC I signed up for tickets for a laundry list of tapings. I got a call a couple of days before leaving from a Letterman staffer asking if we were still interested in tickets. I was excited to hear from them and it was obvious they were gauging how big of a fan of the show... More

Got to tour inside the studio. It was awesome. We could not go to the shows, but that was the next best thing.

We went to the theatre on Broadway early in the morning and put our names in the lottery for tickets. You need formal Government-issued ID for all attendees and you all need to be there in person to register for tickets before you can put your name down. We phoned the number we were given later that day and we... More

Entered lottery for tickets to Letterman taping. Got call to come to pick up tickets. Had to return two hours later, after lining up to get tickets. Pre-seated due to husband's difficulty standing for long, and we were ushered into the studio where we sat near the exits and had a clear view of the goings on on stage. The... More

We applied to get tickets about a month before our trip to NYC. They called us the day we got in and scheduled us to be in the audience the following Tuesday. Great experience to watch how a show is actually taped...especially during the commercial breaks. One great thing happened. we sat next to a guy who refused to turn... More

On my hubby's birthday we lined up for tickets to see the Late Show. Its quite a process to obtain tickets...so we lined up, filled out our application form, showed our ID's and then went behind a little wall to be "interviewed"....just a few questions checking our applications and such. Then we were told, if we were lucky, we would... More
