I have been trying to get tickets for a couple of years and was lucky enough to finally get them before Jon leaves. I would check the Daily Show site several times a day and would click on the dates over and over again even if they said sold out. Eventually I got lucky and tickets became available .. so... More

The experience wasn't flawless, but overall it was a great time. The show has a workflow problem, and they oversell tickets in order to ensure a full audience. The problem with that is it requires you to stand in line a full 7 hours before the show starts. If you're not in line by 11:00am, you probably won't get in... More

We went to the show Mon June 29. We got to the studio - which is at 733 11th Ave (between 51st and 52nd Sts) - just after 130 pm and ended up almost not getting in. No one could tell us how many seats were available. I guess it depends on how many "VIP" tickets are given out. After... More

We knew what to expect, so we loved this. We arrived at the studio at about 1115 AM and were 14-17th in line.Sat on sidewalk until 230PM when actual tickets were handed out. The staff communicated well with the masses, everyone is nice and they know what they are doing, even though it will seem to you like it is... More

I was really lucky that I remembered to read the reviews on this site the nite before we were supposed to go to the show. Everything told in the other reviews on this site was spot on ! A big thank you to fellow TA reviewers ! Essentially, arrive early, be prepared to wait a while, be aware your lunch... More

OK show is greate. Yes tickets are free. The simple fact is that you have to be there way before 2pm or you might lose 2h and have to end up on Larry Wilmore. Also there is no real organization before 1.30 pm so it's all on self organization by the fans. Take warm clothes and prepare to wait. To... More

I've been an avid viewer of the Daily Show for over 10 years and, when I heard Jon Stewart was leaving, I made a decision that I was going to see a taping before he left. After over a month of trying to get tickets from the third party website that handles all their reservations, I finally managed to score... More

We were in NYC from the UK and this was one of the things I was most looking forward to! We love the show and watch it as our main source of US news. The queuing system was well-organized (we got there just after midday and were 19th and 20th in the line) and once we had our tickets to... More

We had a great time seeing the behind-the-scenes taping of the Daily Show. Other than the waiting in line, the taping goes by pretty fast. It's a little strange seeing a show you watch on TV all the time being filmed, but we liked it. The Q&A with Jon was particularly cool because you saw how quick-witted he is (unscripted)... More

I used all the information from the review from Andy H called “One of the highlights of my trip” and he was 100% accurate. I will only add a few points, so please read that review as well. We arrived at 12:30 and were # 48, 49 in line. By 1 pm, I think people were at risk of not... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
