Went to the 'Tribe Called Yes' hip-hop improv hosted by a radio DJ Cipha Sounds. Mind you, this was my first improv show, and I was not too sure what to expect. Be prepared to laugh! The show was great and definitely worth the price. Arrive early to ensure a seat. If not, you will get suck standing on the... More

Went the the last Asscat3000 of 2014 - (improv show). Had a brilliant night, very funny. The venue reminded me a small dirty indie club and was expecting a band to play but didn't let me down. Beers and wine were cheap and cold, and the performers were right on top of the audience. Definitely recommend this place and will... More

We visited twice in the one week. Once we realised our hotel was only a five minute walk away and just how affordable the tickets were we booked twice. The theater is an unassuming doorway leading to a basic basement theatre. In my experience it's rooms like this that you'll find the best comedy. I've yet to have my mind... More

We tend to be more of a comedy family than Broadway shows and have been to several improv and comedy clubs. For the price, it was enjoyable. We saw Brian McCann - the best part was when he went off script and chatted with the crowd. His comedic brain shone through and had the crowd fully engaged - could have... More

The Upright Citizens Brigade theater is a place that must not be missed. The theater, started by Amy Poehler, is a hotbed of comedic talent. I went to an improv show and enjoyed it immensely. The comics are so smart, quick on their feet and smooth....you will be more than entertained. Don't miss this!

We were so excited to see some good comedy. The UCB was very disappointing. We were ready for the show to be over very early on. Atmosphere was lacking & it is a good thing tickets were only $10, otherwise it would have been really bad.

I've been to improv clubs before, so I know that it can be hit or miss. And for the cheap admission price, it's hard to complain...but I shall. This particular show was put on by the teachers at the club. I think the audience was comprised mainly of their students. They laughed heartily...me, not so much. But the theatre was... More

Mostly funny show, enjoyed it, shame Janeane Garofalo cancelled late as the host. Cheap tickets, cheap beer, young and fun crowd, and you can warm up with a drink at Trailer Park Lounge. The decor there is as on a par with the Uprights show for comedy value. Enjoyed the visit but it's not a major standout in a city... More

I went to the one in the east side, and I thought it was very entertaining. There were some high school students in the audience from Canada I think, and when a comedian made jokes about a sensitive issue, they all got up and walked out, about 20 people. I guess some jokes are not funny at all, but if... More

Great night out & excellent value for money. There is beer & wine available in the venue at a reasonable cost. We couldn't see, with a hasty glance, many options in the area for a drink beforehand. Talented cast & they kept us laughing. Would be only too happy to go again.
