Although I assume it might depend on your luck ( there are lots of different shows with tons of different casts) my own experience was really good Just five dollars ( or you can use the stand by line and just get in for free). I went to the Chelsea theater and enjoyed Harold Night. Long format Impro. Don't miss... More

My husband and I went to a Thursday night stand up show, Fresh Out!, at the East Village location for $5 each. They serve wine and beer in the lobby but there are no drink minimums. We got there 20 minutes early and were near the front of the line. We saw about 5 comedians. Some were better than others,... More

We went to a Monday evening show which was only $5 each so I definitely cannot complain about the price. The first half of the show was pretty good, with quite a few performers doing sketches which were mostly pretty good. The second half however was frankly awful and barely got a single laugh from me. There were 2 performers... More

Ended up at the UCB Theatre East location during this past weekend's improv marathon as the west side locations had long lines. Despite having less well known people, the acts were funny and very creative. Loved the bar and fun vibe of the whole place.

For $10 a ticket, what a steal! We enjoyed an improv show at the UCB and would recommend it to anyone living or visiting NYC.

A lot of fun for a cheap price. Our tickets were $5 (with a $1 surcharge for buying online). The bar had a few different kinds of beer available for purchase. The performers were decent and were available to talk to afterwards. Well...I hope they were making themselves available to talk to afterwards because otherwise I was somewhat drunkenly harassing... We went there and waited in line for the free show. If you wanna make it to that show, you really have to get there early. We met some tourists from Australia and got to chat with them, so it was fun, but we never made it in for the free show. However, we did get to see a skitch... More

What a fun time for the great price! Who would think you could see a comedy performance in Manhattan for $5? Week day performances are $5 and weekends $10. Drink were very reasonable too. Be prepared that the theatre is in the lower level so you do have to walk the stairs. We arrived early but were told to wait... More

Would totally recommend a visit to UCB. I had heard about it years ago and with my upcoming trip looked into getting tickets. So got online and bought tickets one week from my show date. TICKETS ARE ONLY $10...Unheard of cheap fun in NYC. There isn't a drink minimum and all ages are allowed ( I believe). I had taken... More

The front of the building is seedy. Some of the neighboring characters you walk by on your way in are shady looking, but who cares? You're in Manhattan being entertained by great comics who love their craft, respect the audience and are really there to make you laugh. The drinks, though of limited selection, are cheap as hell. Reserve a... More
