This is the second show my husband and I attended here. We also went May 2013. This time was even better because Aziz Ansari dropped in! He was hilarious of course, but the other comedians were as well. We were cracking up the whole time! Prices aren't bad, and I like that I can buy non-alcoholic drinks, or entrees to... More

This was the best thing we did in NYC. It's a very, very small space so everyone is cramped together but this just gives the intimate fell of being in some stranger's basement watching a private comedy show. For Tues night it was a $12 cover charge and minimum 2 drink/food orders per person. Total bill for 2 people was... More

We made reservations a week in advance to guarantee tickets. The place is small so you are pretty much guaranteed a good seat. The comedians are pretty funny and the price of the tickets are reasonably priced. The coolest aspect of the evening was that Chis Rock showed up and did a set.

This was the best night out!!!! The venue is in a basement and is very close quarters so ever seat is good. All the comedian are hilarious. Judah Friedlander was the headline when we went. Tickets are cheap and there is a two drink minimum, but it will be the best money you ever spent for an amazing time. Plus... More

Great place for an inexpensive night out in New York City. We were lucky enough to get in standby for the 10:30 show. The MC was very entertaining and worked the crowd. The to our surprise Louie CK was announced. We had heard that he sometimes pops i from time to time, but did not expect this special treat!!!!:) There... More

OMG. We were fortunate enough to boo the Comedy Cellar on one of our recent trips to NY. Terribly funny, 5 acts all up for the 9.30pm session. Booking is easy - all online (you don't pay until the show is over). The compulsory drinks which you have to purchase were very reasonable. Quick swift effect service by our waitress... More

The Comedy Cellar was a great way to spend an evening. Hilarious stand-up and great atmosphere. Just wish we'd have checked out the cafe upstairs!

On our most recent visit to NYC my daughter and I were fortunate to get on the standby list for the Comedy Cellar performances on a busy Friday night seeing we did not get a chance to make reservations ahead of time. So very very entertaining and the talent of all the comedians we saw there was outstanding. If in... More

Of all of the fun things we did in NYC, this had to be one of my all time favorites. The venue is very cool with an old school stand up comedy vibe where you are quite close to the comedians and feel a part of the show. Great acts and sometimes quite famous comedians show up I'm told!
