We booked online well in advance and it was worth it as the show was sold out. We got good seats near the front. The comedians were hilarious! Didn't stop laughing all night. There was a 2 drink minimum but the drinks were reasonably priced. $4 for soda $5 for beer $8 for cocktails. The bar staff were great. Would... More

I chose this place because it was the highest rated Comedy club I could find online. If you were to actually critique the comedy, it is probably a negative that about 2/3rd's of the comedy is "audience interaction". While audience interaction is considered "easy", it was still entertaining, and the actual material was also funny. Combine that with surprisingly decent... More

...and cooler, indeed. This was on the top of my to do list when I decided to visit NY but after the experience of watching bored comedians in supermarket environment I can assure you that this isn't gonna be my priority again in the foreseeable future. Some of the comedians were really funny indeed but the way the place makes... More

When seeing a comedy show in NYC, this should be on the top of the list! It really is as the name suggests a "cellar" though they recently have opened a sister spot that is a bit bigger and on street level with the same decor and intimate feel. I like the cellar because it's an "experience". I have usually... More

WOW - we had a great time. Emailed if I could bring my 20 year old and got an immediate response. Excellent time. Ordered drinks cuz of the 2 drink minimum. My daughter got Iced Teas.MC was great and they really were professional about getting us all inside in a timely manner. The only thing I did not like was... More

We were a group of 6. We liked the venue surroundings. We enjoyed the compere the most out of the acts. We found most of the comedians had weak routines and reverted to the old "so where are you from" routine when things started to lose laughs. By the end of the night, we all knew about Hans from Sweden... More

Tried to get tickets online so tried our luck after great dinner at Cafe Havana. Last ones on list let in! Was great variety of standup in small intimate venue. Don't forget ID even if you're 100 as won't be allowed in.

You can see well known comedians working on new material. I saw Dave Attell, Jim Norton, and Todd Barry. Louis CK, Chris Rock and others are known to show up unannounced. This is the club that CK walks into on the intro to 'Louie'.

We had so much fun! You have to make a reservation before going to the cellar. The comedians were great and they interact a lot with the audience! Cool thing to do in NY!!

I couldn't reserve a table online but queued at the door just before the show and the remaining seats were allocated for stand-byers. The show is approx. an hour and a half long, they serve light food (the Buffalo wings are awesome), drink is reasonably priced, no minimum consumption. There are 3 shows (or 4?) running a night, so its... More
