Loved this place! 4/5 stand ups were hilarious (saving the best to last)! it had a great atmosphere although it was slightly crowded so I would say to get there early and book the best seats! Very fun night out and worth the money!

It was a very disappointing evening for us. Having travelled a long way to NYC (from Australia) and wanting to make the most of every hour in this city, we had heard positive reviews of Comedy Cellar. However, the "system" of lining people up (twice) managed to ruin an otherwise great evening and we ended up leaving after waiting for... More

I have been to EVERY comedy club in NYC. Literally. The Cellar is, hands down, the best one in NYC. The only shows that come close is Caroline's and Stand-Up NY. But CC is the only one I consistently walk out with my face hurting from smiling and laughing the whole night. Make sure to go on a night when... More

After a brief reprieve from a business trip, I met up with some friends and attended a show at the Comedy Cellar. What a blast! They had craft beer on tap (quite a new thing in SA - apparently quite established in the states) Laughed so hard I cried - really! You must reserve a seat ahead of time, and... More

We visited the Comedy Cellar during a week when there were no "well-known" headliners, and found it to be a very fun night out. The venue itself is hidden away and is part of the appeal -- coming to this place where so many of the great comics have gotten their start and still work on material. Reservations are a... More

Been there twice, Once in 2007 and one in 2014 and both time it was great and funny :) First time suddenly Chris Rock stopped for a visit! He got on stage and for 30 minutes he really cracked us up! second time around they had a great team and Jim Norton was there among other great comidians. The only... More

A great almost two hour show, great comics, and great crowd, and Dane Cook popped in to close show and work on material -- fantastic! The $50 per person with ticket and two drink minimum was worth it, but don't even try to order mixed drinks, as they are watered down -- stick to beer or wine!

It was a great set overall. AT least 4 of the comics, killed! And while the host was a bit too offensive for my taste, the other comics were, mostly, great. It was a tight squeeze for 6 of us around a table but it was also relatively comfy as long as you didn't have too big of a coat... More
