Working in the comedy business in Montreal, this was a place to stop. My friend had made reservations for the 8:45 show. I laughed really hard! The line up was great, all stand up comics I didn't know and it was perfect that way. If you like to have a good laugh, this is a must! Cover charge is 24$... More

This was my first live stand up and probably the best one I will experience! I laughd for one hour straight and had an awesome night at comedy cellar. Comedians from saturday night live to unkowned comedians - they were all great performers. You have to book seats(it gets crowded) and pay online before you go there, and its so... More

This time we visited the Village Underground venue as I was looking to get a bit more leg room and air conditioning which I remember lacking in the main venue of Comedy Cellar. This is a great place to see some really talented people and possibly some real famous funny people. The two drink or food item minimum plus cover... More

2nd visit and each time hilarious comedians! We only recognized one of them, but you will not be disappointed anytime you go, they bring in some great talent. Get there early as the line gets very long, and the seating can be tight, but as long as you know what to expect it's not a big deal at all. Service... More

We attended a 12:15AM show with Dave Attell, Artie Lange, Ben Bailey from Cashcab and a few other comics. The Cellar is an absolutely, no questions asked, great time if you love stand up comedy. The show we attended was a little bizarre as Artie never left the stage, which made for an odd turn of events when four comics... More

Visited Comedy Cellar on MacDougal Street. We watched the Naughty show. It was totally worth it. Affordable and lots value for money. I visited with my girlfriend and would highly recommend it for couples or friends going to NYC. It will probably depend on which comedians acting that particularly night, but my impression is that these guys are really good.... More

Strange to report that the acts and comedy at the Comedy Cellar on the eve we visited were actually less than mediocre.... pretty crappy actually. However, and hopefully you've read this far.... I would not hesitate and will certainly go again. I've/We've been to the 'Cellar a bunch of times and had wonderful laugh filled nights each and every time...... More

First things first, making a reservation here comes with **a lot** of rules. They send you a full page email of everything you must and absolutely must NOT do, in advance. This can be a bit foreboding. But, get past that, and you are in for a huge treat. Last night (Thu 28 Aug) the show was the top highlight... More
