I've been to a lot of comedy nights in my life, but this one does it the best. Every comic we watched there was hilarious. Usually I might see 2 out of 5 that are good but these were all great. When we got there we saw Tracy Morgan and Jeff Ross hanging out outside chatting with fans. Get there... More

Had to wait in the cold for quite sometime; we had reservations to the 10:30pm show, the security guard stated they'd be letting ppl in at 11pm but we ended up getting in at about 11:40pm so bundle up. There's a two item purchase minimum per person, the waiters/waitresses hound you to make sure your purchasing 2 items. The cold... More

I booked this on a whim a few days before going to NYC and was so glad I did. We were lucky enough to get an appearance from Louis CK at the 11:30 Sunday show. It was something I'll never forgot. He was great, but Godfrey and Ian Edwards were incredible that night. Two hours of nonstop laughter for $25... More

Our best night in NYC! Judd Apatow made a surprise appearance. He and all the comics were hilarious, each with a slightly different style. Very engaging with the audience. I've never laughed so hard in my life! Great intimate atmosphere too.

Book on their webpage or queue at the entrance to be on the waiting list. I will cost you approximately 30$ (14$ PLUS 2 Drinks). Comedians use to be some of the best and there are usually guest stars showing up for session.

Visited for the midnight show on the night before Halloween. The atmosphere outside (where you have to line up) was like mardi gras. Very fun. Once inside the confines are cramped but fun as you end up sharing a table with strangers. The line of comics was great with many recognizable from tv shows or writers for well know tv... More

We were told to visit the club when traveling to NYC. Glad we made reservations online. You probably won't get in unless you do. There is a 2 purchase minimum but the food and drinks aren't super expensive. Be prepared if you sit directly in front of the stage. You will get picked on by the comedians. This was the... More

The Monday 9:30 pm show at the Comedy Cellar was fantastic! We were fortunate to have two guest performers at our show, Jon Stewart and Bob Saget! Some tips= - Your bill will add up quickly. There's a $12 cover charge and 2 menu item minimum that you pay when the show is over. I managed to spend $26 overall... More

If you're in NYC, you MUST visit the Comedy Cellar!!! Truly a highlight of our trip to New York. Book online to secure a spot (this does not give you an actual seat reservation it just puts your name on the list). You still need to get there early. We got there 45 minutes before the doors were open and... More

On a previous trip to the city I made reservations for this place and had a blast so I couldn't wait to come again. Well like a dummy I didn't make reservations and waited until the day of thinking "hey its a Monday night there's no way it's booked." I was wrong. Dead wrong. We showed up at least 1... More

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
