Havana Rakatan

Very nice choreographed. I really enjoyed the sounds of Cuba. The dancers were magnificent. Especially the puppet dance. A beautiful evening.

This play was about a fictional young Chinese girl born into poverty in a rural village who moved to the city and worked as a janitor in a factory. There was discontent in the factory among the workers and she got caught up in the controversy. It starred Jennifer Lim, whom I saw in Chinglish on Broadway, Telly Leung (Godspell... More

You have not seen American dance until you have seen the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. A must-see. Great venue, good prices, good seating.

My Lady and I attended the New York City Center for a dance performance by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. City Center provides comfortable seating for viewing that is as good as any of the theaters on Broadway. The toilets were clean with updated toilet fixtures. This facility is Very Good for performance venues. The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater... More

I went to the City Center to see Alvin Ailey Dance company. Aside from the performance, which I would highly recommend to everyone going to NYC in December. The venue, City Center, is a wonderful place to see a performance. It is well maintained, the restrooms are very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The seats are a... More

we have been to quite a few theatres in NY, this one has some really comfy and for shows big seats . we were lucky enough to see "The band wagon" a limited 10 day showing in November 2014 . excellent musical which I hope ends up having a run on Broadway .

I always enjoy going to City Center to see a play. The seats are comfortable not jammed in. The lobby area has a bar with drinks and light snacks. The productions are always well mounted, and the place is very well-kept.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
