we went here on our last day which happened to be the new York marathon day so it took forever to find, I only really wanted to see the outside and the view (sex and the city) but with tired feet we decided to go inside. it was simply beautiful. the view is stunning and made it all worth while.... It's located in Central Park. We went for dinner but wish we went for lunch so we could see the view which is beautiful, but to dark in the evening. Food is very good...

Five stars for the view and location which are gorgeous but three stars for everything else. The service was very disappointing. We waited over seven minutes to be greeted and the service never improved. I would of been understanding if it was busy, but it was late afternoon and it wasn't. The food was good, but not great. Our lunch... More

A fabulous location but you need to book if you want the assurance of a table. A great place for a relaxing drink either inside or out. Hope to go back on my next visit to NYC

Rented a boat and just paddled listening to French music. I wish we could have brought wine and cheese onto the boat. Its 15 dollars an hour with a 20 dollar deposit.

Food was decent Views was excellent Staff was rude, horrible and didn't want to be there If you want to sit by the water, make sure you look like your rich, have more then 2 people and book way in advance and make a fuss.

Title says it all, I arrived with my boyfriend in NY after booking this restaurant three months in advance, and despite requesting it when we booked, we were told that we couldn't have a table by the lake; although there were about four empty tables when we arrived, because they were reserved for a party of three or more. Annoyed,... More

You must book well in advance if you want to dine here for lunch or dinner. We booked 3 weeks in advance and had one of the last bookings. Possibly because it was the labour day weekend. If you do not book you may face a 2hr wait for a table. The food was absolutely fabulous, I had the sea... More

A great way to break up a visit to Central Park is to have a meal at the Boathouse. Be aware that there are options. The main restaurant overlooking the boating lake, comes at a price. But there is a cheaper option, with no water view, attached to the main building. Order from the counter and eat at your leisure.... More
