When a bartender can't raise a smile or even pretend to be civil when serving a couple of drinks - I kinda decide to eat and drink elsewhere. Such a shame because the place looks lovely....but I won't put up with a disinterested bartender - end of story!

We did breakfast there and it was nice. The building and the view were spectacular. I can only attest to the breakfast food but it was good. The tea was a God sent on this cold morning. Retracing our steps we went to the main fountain and were entertained by the street performers. Lots of runners and cyclists despite the... More

This was our second time in NY and we 'stumbled' across this place first time round, so we made a point of going back this time and it didn't disappoint. Both times we have gone for brunch and the ambience and food have not let us down. It has class and style without be ostentatious. It does get busy around... More

We went for lunch today and it was a lovely place to enjoy the view of Central Park and escape the cold. I had Sashimi as an appetiser and my partner had the scallops. The scallops were ok and the sashimi was great. As an entree, my partner had the chicken which he said was good but not fantastic and... More

Beautiful views, fabulous Sunday brunch. Does not disappoint! The server was a little neglectful in refilling our drinks but the atmosphere was wonderful with a gorgeous view so we did not mind. Amazing quiche!

Went here with family to have a nice lunch. We ordered our food and had to wait over an hour to get out food. When we got out food, the steak was overcooked and the burgers were cold and undercooked. When we complained to the manager, he didn't even apologize and said this is how it is here. Save your... More

My 6th time this year and the previous occasions have been mixed. This time though, with my wife, was great. The expected wait wax short, the service good and the good wonderful. On the right day it's a great place.

Went here for a special treat with family on Monday. Chaotic, slow and unhelpful service. Waited an hour to be served and then both starters and main courses turned up at once. No apology. Fought our way through the massive queue of disgruntled quests to escape. Oh.....and they wanted a 15% service charge.

Our family of 4 adults and 3 children rented bikes here. Poorly maintained, heavy cruisers. One bike broke down, we called and were told they could not help. Fortunately a Park Conservancy person nearby tried to assist. Our rescue was by a NYC Police Patrol who loaded bike in van and drove back to Loeb Boathouse. LB would not adjust... More

This restaurant probably has the best ground level view in New York - on the boating lake in Central Park. It sounds from other reviews that they rely on their location for business, but we had a pleasant lunch here, and could not fault the food or service. They do get very busy and we had to wait 20 minutes... More
