A hidden gem right in Central Park! There are gondola rides that leave from the Loeb Boathouse. You don't hear much about the rides as they are only offered during certain times of the year. The gondola is authentic and the ride is inexpensive. You feel as though you are transported back to Venice for a short peaceful ride. Your... More

The Risotto was under cooked and the tasteless chicken on top made the dish a waste of time and money, my partner had the soft shell crab that was swamped in sauce with little taste. the wait staff were uninterested when we answered their question was everything to our liking. Certainly a lovely aspect ruined by average food and uninterested... More

I chose this restaurant for a farewell to NYC lunch with my three girlfriends. It was between The Loeb Boathouse and Tavern on the Green. I decided on the boathouse because of the recent negative reviews for the Tavern… I booked our reservation about 2 months ago, and were taken right in at noon, and seated on the veranda as... More

Went for lunch service was excellent we had booked well in advance and we recommend this as it is very Popular. The food was excellent and served promptly with a smile. We would strongly suggest a visit and hope all enjoy it as much as we did. Central Park is a lovely spot to walk off lunch especially on a... More

We went for Sunday afternoon brunch. The restaurant does not accept reservations on weekends. We waited for 35 minutes though we were told the wait would be 45 minutes. The waiter was from Niger and very nice. Our food was delicious. Some ordered the chicken with mashed potatoes; both delicious and one the steak which they enjoyed. The banana tatin... More

Make sure you reserve a table by the window with wonderful views out over the lake and skyline. Our waiter was very good indeed , said he was from Albania and actually said a few word in Russian to us. I had the Crab cake as our waiter said they were the best in NY....I could not judge but it... More

We visited New York in November, just as the temperatures plumetted. We walked around Central Park in sub zero temperatures, but the sun was shining and the sky was blue. We headed for the Loeb Boathouse as we wanted a pot of tea to warm us up. As the reviws indicate, the views and position of the Loeb are suberb... More

We popped in while wondering central park. It was on my to do list, and had the time and money allowed I had wanted to eat in the formal section. We both had a hot dog, shared a portion of fries (which was huge) and had a warm cider each. Considering the location the price and portion size was reasonable.... More

Booked for a birthday celebration. The location is fantastic. Request a table at the edge of the lake - magic. Whilst I knew it would be expensive, I was disappointed with the staff who were perfunctory and lacked any warmth or feeling of welcome. The service was slow and any form of communication was monosyllabic, on top of this, a... More
