We visited New York in November, just as the temperatures plumetted. We walked around Central Park in sub zero temperatures, but the sun was shining and the sky was blue. We headed for the Loeb Boathouse as we wanted a pot of tea to warm us up. As the reviws indicate, the views and position of the Loeb are suberb... More

We popped in while wondering central park. It was on my to do list, and had the time and money allowed I had wanted to eat in the formal section. We both had a hot dog, shared a portion of fries (which was huge) and had a warm cider each. Considering the location the price and portion size was reasonable.... More

Booked for a birthday celebration. The location is fantastic. Request a table at the edge of the lake - magic. Whilst I knew it would be expensive, I was disappointed with the staff who were perfunctory and lacked any warmth or feeling of welcome. The service was slow and any form of communication was monosyllabic, on top of this, a... More

The Boathouse had been on our list of possible Christmas dinner venues, but we were slightly put of by needing to sign a 'contract' in advance. Weird, but I guess understandable. Instead we popped in and had chicken noodle soup in the informal section behind the main dining area - not easy to get a table but if there's 2+... More

I attended a wedding here on new years eve. Was very nice wedding. Cocktail hour I thought was a little odd because the bar was setup on a long table and you had to wait inline for a drink. Appetizers that were served was the same 5 food items. There were no stations just people walking around with trays. Not... More

We came here for Sunday Brunch and loved it. I read on Trip Advisor about the no-alcohol-before-noon law, so we arrived around 11:00, thinking we would wait for an hour and be there in perfect time for mimosas! They host told us it would be about a 45 minute wait (they don't do reservations for brunch), but we only about... More

What a nice lunch we had. .. The food was delicious, especially the steak. My friend asked it medium rare and it was exactly as she wanted. The location is amazing, overlooking the Lake in the heart of Central park. Great service. We were told that probably we have to wait for 30/40 minutes before to get our table since... More

This is the place to go for Sunday brunch. The views across the lake with the skyscraper backdrop are magnificent. It is very busy on a sunday, so get there early as you can to guarantee getting a table (though you may still have to wait). The food is magnificent as well. I had the french toast with grand marinier... More

Didn't eat in the main restaurant but had coffee in 'the cheap seats'! Everything looked great. Nice atmosphere and great views of Central Park.
