Three little birds.Very nice play for young kids.Great way to introduce children to the arts.Theater was comfortable.
The theatre offers a lot of alternatives in terms of the shows types for the kids. In general, it is a hit or miss. Some shows were really good, others were quite the opposite. F.e., 'Fragile' while very short was a very good show for the little ones. So, bottom line, read the review for each show as well as... More
We saw "Fragile", a French production featuring unique puppets and no words! Great production and highly recommend it for families. Can't wait to see another play at the New Vic on our next trip to NYC.
I’ve been taking my kids to the New Vic for over 10 years; the only full-time performing arts theater for children in NYC. They offer a wide variety of shows for many different age levels and adults will enjoy them also. Now that my kids are teenagers I select shows for the older age groups and we have seen some... More
This may be my newest fav place in NYC. We saw Bello the Clown's acrobatic/magic all-around crazy show and the 2 10 year olds laughed out loud the whole time - and their moms were too! Significantly cheaper than Broadway i highly recommend this if you are in the City and looking for a fun experience.
You won't find the huge productions of the typical Broadway shows. What you will find is a kid friendly Broadway experience in a fabulous venue at prices starting at what it costs to see a movie. Shows run for 1-2 months so be sure to check the calendar. Their web site is very clear about the age range for each... More

One of the best shows I have ever seen. Definitely worth every penny and then some. It is the second time I see this show, I first saw it in Glasgow at the Fringe Festival, they finally came to New York, I wish they could be here longer. Maybe they will return next year. If I am able to go... More
New Vic's shows are consistently of the highest quality. Balconcy tickets can be had for about the cost of a movie ticket (really!) and orchestra seats are rarely more than $35 or $40. If you are in town with kids (or even if you're not), this is a great place to take them to see live theater. Check the age... More
New Victory offers some of the most innovative and intelligent theater for kids and teens. I have been taking my 12 & 15 year old kids for the past two years and we have so enjoyed every single show we have attended. New Vic gets our highest recommendation for theater goers of all ages. Their website is very helpful too... More
