Definitely a must see. It's song and dance in the traditional Broadway style. While I can forgive the kids for being overly noisy and excited, there's no excuse for their parents treating the performance like a trip to the movies. After spending close to $200 for each ticket, the last thing I want to hear is slurping of drinks and... More

Lovely old theatre with very friendly staff. Theatre is beautiful. We were sat on the balcony and there was not a lot of leg room however the show was so entertaining you tended to forget about this when the show started. Excellent show and the genie we saw was brilliant. A great evening out.

We saw Aladdin at this theater. They actually opened the doors earlier than the usual half hour time period. They have a little lounge, so families with kids can relax before the show. The theater is pitched, so there really isn't a bad seat. Plus, for the smaller audience members, there are complimentary booster cushions. You just have to get... More

Watched Aladdin show was amazing! Seats were comfy and worth every penny. Food & drink was good value for money if comparing to London prices

I was surprised by how beautiful this theater is. When we were entering in one of the attendants told us it is the oldest theater in NYC. We sat in the second row and had plenty of leg room. I couldn't tell from the seating chart how close we would be and we were very close to me the stage.... More

I saw Aladdin there and it was awesome! The theatre is beautiful, and the show is amazing. It was my favorite thing we did during our trip to NYC.

Took my two teenage grandchildren to Aladdin. Seats were great, show is terrific with wonderfully ebullient performances from all the lead players. Thank goodness for genies and this warm and friendly cast. And Disney! Staff was cordial and helpful. I would attend again.

We actually went to the New Amsterdam Theater as part of a tour group, not to see a show. The theater itself is very pretty and we were able to take pictures in some areas. Our guide was one of the Disney Theater staff who was very knowledgeable about the history of the theater. During the tour we were shown... More

The theater was crowded outside for a 2pm show but we got in about a half hr before it started. Very ornate and beautiful inside but a few squeaky chairs. The stage and curtain were quite beautiful as well as the ornate theater boxes on the right and left. The performance was spectacular! Loved every moment!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
