We saw Jersey Boys on August 12th 2015 at the August Wilson Theatre and enjoyed the evening hugely. The performance was all we had hoped for and the entire evening was a huge success. Great seats in a lovely but somewhat bijou theatre, well positioned just off Broadway. My only note of caution is in the bar prices, we bought... More

Awesome experience seeing the Jersey Boys. Beautiful, old theater. Not sure there is a bad seat in the place. Small enough to see and participate.

While the musical we saw, Jersey Boys, was fantastic, the theater was not. We purchased tickets for the lower mezzanine, but had to walk up a ton of stairs to get there. My mom has a hard time walking up steps and there was no elevators anywhere to get her to any level. She had to walk up all the... More

The theater was a great place to see the Jersey Boys show. The staff was very friendly and the seats were wide enough to not be too cramped, with good views from each seat. Great experience!! Bathrooms were well managed for the intermission. Drinks were high, $40 for 2, with a bag of M & M’s. Yikes, welcome to Broadway….

The show was awesome. I would never recommend it or any other show at August Wilson though. One small bathroom. 85 ladies in line at break. Restrooms are only on main level. Have to walk too many steps. Also seats are so cramped no room for knees if taller than 5'9". Show also starts late.

Love their exciting music. Didn't really have high expectations but had a great time. Must see before they go out.

The show Jersey Boys is currently playing here, which I reviewed separately. The August Wilson Theatre is a nice classic theater that was originally built in 1925. Like many of the older theaters, it is cozy. If you are a larger person, in both height or otherwise, you may find the seats a bit uncomfortable. If not, then the theater... More

Finally got to see "Jersey Boys"! Small, intimate, and beautiful theater only 3 blocks from our hotel. The show was phenomenal and everything I had hoped it would be.

Great show the Jersey Boys. The theatre was convenient to where we stayed for the weekend. Theatre did feel cramped but will go back for a different show. Not a bad seat in the house.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
