Had a full itinery of NYC bars to visit during a short visit which included the Blind Tiger, Pony Bar , Heartlands & Beer Authority...... Then a South London Brewer of "Cronx Beer" recommended the Ginger Man. We paid a short visit on our first day and new we would be back. We visited all of the above bars but... More

We were in New York for a long weekend and researched all the bars on trip advisor before the trip. The ginger man was the best one visited. Loved the interior and friendly atmosphere. The service was brilliant with the bar staff really knowing their beers, with over 50 to choose from, that's very impressive. A beer for everyone from... More

Go to the Gingerman if you like beer, and a huge variety of it! The atmosphere is great, although a little "business suity" in the early evening, but seems to change over to a more young adult crowd later. For a bar in Manhattan, this place is huge and the staff does a great job of covering the floor and... More

In NYC last week visiting friends from out of town, arranged to meet near W36th at and 5 th but found this gem between Madison and 5th instead! Glad I did indeed, really great ambience and decor. The overall design is superb and very unique. The beer list is one of the best, just Pugh to make your mind up... More

recommended by a local, this bar was perfect for meeting friends. Central location, very large (for NYC) and huge beer list. Didn't have food, but liked the menu.

Great place for happy hour. They have sooooo many different types of beer, it's fun to try new ones each time you go. It gets very crowded and it's always hard to find a seat. It's hard to go with a big group of oeople but it's great if you're in a small group.

The beer menu for this place is massive. 70 draught beers, lagers porters etc. Then the back of the menu has 100 bottles. I didn't have any food here, so can't review that, but really enjoyed the beers I tried. Service to our table was a little slow. Also it just so happened my first 3 choices of beer had... More

Went here by chance with a friend and drank only. Excellent beer selection and some good wine... Great setting, friendly staff and all in all a great experience. Cosy place, cool bar and good/interesting seating. I didn't eat, hence the 4 stars but will return to try. Highly recommended

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
