We visited this bar on the very last night of our holiday in New York, and it was an absolutely fantastic way to end the trip. We visited on a Friday night, and arrived around 10.30pm. There was no cover charge to pay, and the lovely hostess led us to a great seat straight away. The bar was lively but... More

This is a nice place to enjoy a cigar and a bourbon or malt scotch. I held an offsite meeting there, the service was terrible and many of the bourbons on the menu were out of stock and unavailable. Good news is that they had my favorite cigar (Padron 1964 maduro on the menu $44) and bourbon Widow Jane. Bring... More

2nd time attending. Where you sit matters. First time sat up front with unobstructed view. Was able to hear entire show without background chatter disrupting. This time sat in back with partial view and chatter of patrons and staff interferes with experience. Nevertheless a good time.

Outstanding location for those who enjoy a good cigar, comfy surroundings, a drink, and at times some entertainment. We enjoyed the Saturday Sinatra event...we were too late for reservations so we just enjoyed standing/sitting around the bar to enjoy the show and the people. Some locals who frequent the place were gracious and invited us into their conversations while we... More

Sinatra Saturdays are about as disastrously organized as humanly possible. First, the reservation system for the show works like this: You call and an automated answering system instructs you to leave a message. Maybe someone calls you back, more likely they don't. So you chase them by phone, but the club's phone hours are very erratic. (There is no online... More

This place is a real gem. We were told about it by a friend who visits frequently. The idea of a cigar bar interested us. I don't smoke cigars, but do enjoy the aroma of good ones. Hubby does enjoy a good cigar periodically. When you walk in you are immediately taken by the comfortableness of the place. There are... More

We went on a Monday night and were seated without a reservation. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. A decent range of cigars and drinks, they will let you smoke your own cigars if you prefer (for a small fee). The table of people next to us were fantastic people. A wonderful night of cigars, drinks and conversation with... More

Heard about this club prior to our visit to Manhatten, reserved seating for the 8.30 Frank Sinatra tribute show, what can I say other than "Quality" the place is amazing, laid out as a traditional club from another era, Steve Maglio who does the Sinatra tribute and his 12 piece orchestra give you a very accurate idea of what it... We followed our dinner with the 10:30 show on Saturday night at the Carnegie Club. You feel like you're stepping back in time when you enter the smoke filled lounge and hear the big band playing. Our seats were on the 2nd floor which made for incredible people watching while listening to the show. The drinks were great and the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
