What an amazing evening, we booked for the cast party and had a great table. Good service, we only ate dessert having eaten previously, but it was ok - nothing special! Wine was chilled and the atmosphere was superb. All of the performers bar one were very very good, the evening was funny, amazing and slick. The pianist was incredible... More

SO terribly disappointing. There is too much talking, none of which is funny at all. I have relatives in from out of the country for my wedding and we wanted to have a fun NY jazz club experience. Please please dont make the same mistake we did. The food and drinks are terrible and overpriced, the host is not funny,... More

We heard about birdland from a friend that was here a year ago, the show was really fun even both of us aren't really into jazz. We had dinner and it was really good, and so was the service.

This bistro style venue offered very good food. As a serious jazz lover, this is the one 'must visit' places in New York.

We love music and gave Birdland a chance at end of May, there were 2 shows a night and we did late show that was supposed to start at 11pm and didn't start till 11:30 and barely lasted 1 hour band and singer were good not great. I thought this was a rip-off for the 40 dollar cover per person.... More

Had a great time at Birdland, chatted with the musicians who are very approachable. Bartender is great and fun. I came for the 8.30 session, and they let me stay for the 11pm one as well, since the later one is usually not fully booked. Both sessions were very diverse, but also very different; nothing really was repeated! It's therefore... More

If you like Jazz this is a great place to go. Purchase tickets online for the jazz you want, arrive an hour before. Short line and your table is reserved. $10 min p.p. Food or wine. We shared the crab cakes and a bottle of wine. Atmosphere is excellent. Only holds about 100 or slightly more. Intimate but casual dress... More

Saw Jane Monheit for her 6 pm Sunday jam with her group and guests. It's like stepping back 60 or so years. Great jazz in a classic setting. Her show is superb. Service and food above average. A very nice early evening.

This Jazz Club has a long history in New York and is well deserved I'm sure. As a first time visitor to the city and not a "club" visitor in general I wanted to experience some live music in this setting. I was not disappointed and loved the experience! We went to the dinner show and saw Linda Lavin! She... More

We heard the Louis Armstrong Eternity Band which plays every Wednesday at 5:30 pm. The night we were there they had a great line up. While I missed a pianist all the musicians: sax and clarinet, banjo, tuba, trumpet, trombone and drums were great
