Great sight lines at every table and wonderful acoustics so you are surrounded by the music. The service was good and the food was better than average. A great place to go after seeing a show on Broadway.

We went to see Constantine Maroulis, who was great. We had dinner & drinks. Great ambiance and acoustics. Food was OK; but pricey; don't order the crabcakes; they were terrible; the scallops were good! Once the show ends, they are really pushing you out the door so they can bring in another crowd of people for the next show. After... More

I went to the Arturo O'farrill gig on sunday what a great band who play superb arrangements and are inspired by their leader. A must for any jazz fan. The club itself was fab too. Take time to check out the great photographs that cover the clubs walls.

Music was fantastic. Setting wonderful and designed to enhance the whole experience. We were seated at a small table in the front circle of tables so had good views of the musicians and acoustics were great. We had dinner which was very good. Highly recomended even for non jazz fans due to the ambience.

We had an early flight to catch the next day so left at 12.45 am but it had the feeling that the... More

Came across this by chance if I'm honest, we were in NYC and fancied seeing some live music but unfortunately, there was none really on we'd either heard of or fancied. I saw an listing for a show here (live jazz) and thought I'd give it a go (as I'd heard the name, Birdland) I have to say, I was... More

I've lived in a suburb of NYC my entire life and had never been to Birdland until tonight. Grant it, I'm not in the entertainment industry, although I do attend concerts, operas and theater. Our niece, a Broadway-style actress and singer is in town and was performing at the "Open Mic" during Jim Caruso's Cast Party, which occurs every Monday... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
