We love Jazz and when in New York we always try and get to Dizzy's and then to try other clubs. Visiting during the holidays we ended up at Birdland for the Christmas Eve 6PM show and the stayed to see Michael Finestein from the bar. Both shows were enjoyable. The club has a nice location and is a nice... More

My first time and absolutely blown away. I'm still buzzin'. On the edge of the Broadway Theatre area, the club is smaller than I had anticipated but the atmosphere is amazing. I was there for the Michael Feinstein Christmas Big Band show and was more than impressed. I am a jazz fan and Birdland has always held a certain mystique.... More

Spent $500 for two tickets in front center, was seated on side left in bar walkway looking up at musicians. Looked at back of Feinstein's head. Only saw him when he sat on piano. Came before doors were to open - only other table offered was beside drum set on far right side. At the Regency, premium tickets were premium... More

A few of us wanted to go to a Jazz club as we had never been to one before. It was my first but certainly not the last time I will be visiting one, I just hope that they live up to the high standard Birldand has set. The service was great, some of the drink were expensive but there... More

We went there on Friday for the Birdland Jazz Band show. It was an amazing session seated in the back of the room. We had some drinks , a bit expensive considering that you pay 30$ for the ticket. No one visiting NY Should miss this place.

First time to Birdland in Manhattan and had an excellent experience. I highly recommend this club for serious jazz fans. Staff were friendly in making a reservation by phone. We sat at the bar, as the club was packed. First thing that struck me was how respectful and quiet the host and hostess were when we arrived. Definitely set the... More

Great food, even better jazz. Right in the heart of Hell's Kitchen, there are many restos to choose from in the vicinity. Would recommend this place.

As jazz clubs go: the food is ok; the music generally very, very good, though tilting sometimes toward Broadway which is not my thing but is definitely appropriate for the part of town; the prices a little high; the service very good; the quiet policy is commendable and you are expected to observe it (apologies to the lady who wanted... Great jazz music, good tables to watch the show. Food is ok, as it usually is at jazz clubs. Right in the heart of the Theater area, which is very convinient for theater-lovers.
