We spent New Years Eve aboard the Duchess and it was a wonderful evening. Every single course of food was great, the drinks were great, atmosphere was fun and the views of the fireworks on Liberty island could not be matched. But the best part was the service - big thanks to Evelyn who served us on the night, she... More

Wonderful treat while in New York for Thanksgiving. The service, food and view from our window table were all excellent. Music and dancing were such fun to.Also nice to do something were you dress-up a bit for it to.A very special evening to be remembered.

Food was amazing. Our server was Clayton. He kept our glasses filled at all times. He was very attentive. The New York skyline was fantastic.

We booked this for an evening dinner cruise whilst in NYC just before Xmas to see the lights at night. The whole thing was well organised and we certainly got a good view of the river and bridges. The food was fairly average, but good. There was a disco that played a good selection of music and we went to... More

Wonderful New Year's Eve! Began well by allowing us to board 30 minutes early as it was cold. Then, instead of having us wait until 9 to began service, they immediately began serving appetizers and drinks. Assigned seating. We sailed past Statue of Liberty enjoying the lights of Manhattan, under the Brooklyn Bridge and then turned around and came back... More

The cruise itself is fantastic - you see parts of NYC you wouldn't see otherwise, fabulous photo ops! The dinner itself was slow...we didn't get our dessert to almost done with cruise. Food was OK, nothing spectacular.

Ten years ago my wife and i were married on-board the World Yacht. For our ten year wedding anniversary we traveled back to NYC and the World Yacht with 16 of our closest family and friends. We had spoken of how great our wedding was and the experience this time round proved to be just as magical. From boarding right... More

It would be worth pointing out, booking this cruise can be confusing as there are alternative ways to go about it, from using the World Yacht website, to tourist sites which seem to promise great things. On the tour sites, we were tempted with 'window seats' and various dining/drink options. I decided to investigate the home site and, after a... More

Wow! It was an amazing experience. The food was phenomenal as were the waiting staff. We had prebooked our drinks package which saved over $800 as we ended up drinking Champagne all night. We also had a limo to pick us up and return us to our hotel which was organised by the World Yacht and due to being in... More

Perfect view on manhattans skyline!!!! But food and wine was really below average. The wine and champagne was too sweet, the food was too much cooked, dry and poor quantity. Its too expensive for what you get! Our recommendation: book a tour without drinks and food! The view is spectaculas! And its best at night! Btw: on a more positive... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
