We live in Manhattan and went with some city couples. Everyone had a blast. Would definitely recommend. Had good service, good food, good wine. And they have a great band - with a really excellent female singer. We went on a Wed. night in August.

This was the highlight of my trip to New York, we were welcomed on board and promptly served our welcome drink of champagne, we had upgraded to include the drink package and I would recommend this as our waiter was readily available to top up our drinks whenever required, all courses of the meal were tasty especially the New York... My husband and I were born and raised in New York and this is the first time we took a ride with Bateaux. He went once with business and said it was fantastic. The weather was perfect but so was everything else.... from the service to the food , to the music , the atmosphere.... couldn't have asked for anything... More

During my first ever visit to New York City, my husband and I shopped around for a romantic cruise on the Hudson, and the Bateaux did not disappoint! The captain and crew were friendly and competent, and the waiters top quality and attentive. The dining tables were well spaced out so there was no overcrowding. A jazz trio played fantastic... I took a trip around Manhattan only the Spirit of New York during a glorious summer afternoon. I was part of a party of 200 but there were smaller family groups on board also. The cruise is the best way to see to the Manhattan & Brooklyn skylines and Statue of Liberty. We paid a little less than $60 each... More

We celebrated my birthday on a brunch cruise. It was a tremendous experience. The staff is great-especially Julia who is a fellow Southerner. The food was good and the scenery cannot be put. It was definitely worth the money. Note: The Chelsea Piers is sort of hard to get to by NYC standards.

Being my 3rd trip to NYC, a dinner cruise was an excellent way to see Manhattan from a different view. Being on the water as the sun set was breathtaking. The staff was amazing. The food was delicious and the views indescribable! The Brooklyn bridge, the Statue of Liberty, the Manhattan skyline. All beautiful!

we took a dinner cruise to celebrate my birthday, and it was a real treat in every sense! The cruise itself takes in the Manhatten skyline in both directions, so depending on the time of year, you go out in daylight and back in the dark. You also take in the less scenic East River and then head out to... More

As a total experience , the Bateaux experience is unparalleled. My wife daughter and I thought this would be a great addition to our 4 night stay in NYC and we weren't wrong. There are flaws, of course there are, but this is a wonderfully romantic way to see the city at night from the best position on earth. We... More

We did the lunch on the Spirit of New York. Unlike other city cruises in the Bateaux range, this is low end, with a buffer lunch rather than waiter service, and the Spirit of New York is NOT one of the glass topped boats I've seen this company use everywhere else. (Their evening cruise, I think, it glass topped). The... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
