I had a groupon so I decided to check this place out. It's sad when the best part of a museum if the gift shop but seriously, that is the truth. Sex and all of it's many components are found everywhere. There is no shortage of information, except for the one place you would expect your mind to be blown...The... More

Only really visited as it was included in my New York Pass (honest)! Quite well done but not really much to see. Went to the one in Amsterdam years ago (I don't make a habit of this), which was much better. Fun gift shop, which you can visit without doing the museum.

I confess that I didn't see the museum but did keep stopping by the cafe "play" which has fabulous coffee (for those missing Europe) and a decent lunch menu.

I planned an afternoon that included the Museum of Sex and thought, what a fun, light way to spend a few hours in the city. The "museum" website presents itself as though it is educational and would be a way to show you how sex and views on sexual behavior have changed through the years and unfortunately, it is nothing... Nothing worth the ticket price in this place. Small, nothing new, you probably know better than this place. Not recommend at all.

We had a few drinks at Play before going to the exhibit, that's probably why I didn't hate it as much as other people. I do agree that the place is sort of a waste of money, in a general sense. Everything there in the museum is easily accessible via the internet so you might as well just do that.... More

For a child of the internet like myself, knowing more about what people google when they're feeling in the mood was really interesting. I even learnt about so many more categories of porn than I thought existed!! The Linda Lovelace part was also very interesting. It would have been nice for there to be something slightly deeper with it, but... More

I went expecting some interesting historical facts, naughty exhibits, and kinky Kamasutra stuff. Instead I learned about popular Google search terms, saw Linda Lovelace giving a blow job, and read about the penis length of Pandas. Could have done all of that cheaper and without traveling to NYC over the internet.

and it's dark and dirty! Felt like I didn't want to touch anything (including chairs) in case I would pick up a disease. And what they had to display wasn't much. I expected much more about sex throughout history. got the top 50 things people look for on the Internet. And Linda Lovelace. Not worth them money at all.
