Jazz at Lincoln Center offers endless options for those who love music, especially Jazz. I am always attentive to its schedule, so I also subscribed its newsletter (strongly recommend) to get all informations. There are several rooms at Lincoln Center as The Allen Room Jazz, which, by the way, is the best room for concert: it has a spectacular view... More

Jazz at Lincoln Center is always exciting and enjoyable. Looking out over Central Park and 59th St. East is fantastic, especially at night from way up on top of the Time Warner Building.

The Appel Room and Dizzy's Club both have a wall of windows overlooking Columbus Circle and Central Park. The Rose Room is a large wood paneled hall with great acoustics and sight lines. There is an interesting exhibit of the history of jazz on the same floor as Dizzy's and classes on jazz history and appreciation are offered through out... More

The Rose Theater is where the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra and many great performers from Jazz, Cabaret, Opera and Classical Music perform in a wonderful setting that always make the music feel and sound better. Then there is the beguiling lobby with the marvelous view of Columbus Circle and Central Park. Also here is Dizzy's, a jazz club that not-to-miss.

Unforgettable evening with Wayne Shorter a few years back. If you going to be in the area check out who will be performing.

I guess this refers to the Lincoln Center Out of Doors. It is one of the best venues for eclectic music in NYC, from samba and frevo to blues and folk rock. And Muscle Soals! If you want to sit down, be early... very early. Like at least 2 hours before starting time, usually at 7:30 PM. As the Rose... More

Been here countless times for multiple different shows. Whether it be ballet, jazz, blues, or theater this place is a joy to visit. Brilliant restaurants in the area make for a quick bite before (or after) the show.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
