Excellent venue,

Good value, always interesting artists, comfortable auditorium and great views from the Appel room, simple dining in Dizzy's Coca Cola club and an all round good value.

I've been to JALC about 25 - 30 times. It's a great place to hear music, but can get a bit pricey. Dizzy's Club is a really nice venue, but the food and drink prices are very high (but, hey, it's NY). Add in the cover charge, and you're looking at a big bill, but the music is always first... More

One of the many jazz options in NYC, Rose Hall is a pleasant, if not intimate venue, to hear good jazz in NYC. Still, if you're a jazz aficionado and have only limited time in NYC, I'd head downtown for more authentic and intimate spaces. The Blue Note, for example, is expensive in the evenings, but has a very inexpensive... More

Great place to hear music. And it's perfect that the music that is American, jazz, is hallmarked at Lincoln Center. Perfect place to honor the music & listen to the masters.

It is a wonderful place to hear great music. The JALC orchestra is superb and the other artists that perform in the Rose Theater, the Appel Room and Dizzy's are of the highest quality.

I went to the opening night of "Swan Lake" at the Lincoln Centre. Truly magical and special. I couldn't believe how many men accompanied women to see it. New York men are so mature when it comes to the Arts .They respect talent and I was entranced by their appreciation of the dancers talent.

Pick a day and kind of dance venue and you will find it Open Air in the summer at Lincoln Center. I do disco and big band every year. Buy tickets or just enjoy and dance outside the ticketed dance floor.

Great club at Lincoln Center Jazz at Columbus Circle or you get see jazz in the larger theatre with traditional seating. I prefer the club atmosphere where you can order drinks and enjoy the view and the music.

This was a great venue to enjoy good music and to see the city skyline - food was reasonable but it was definitely the music and the ambience that makes it a truly memorable night out.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
