This was a so-so candy store with ho-hum candies higher priced than usual. Didn't see anything unusual about this store other than it's owned by Ralph Lauren's daughter. Guess we were expecting some unusual candy and it just wasn't there. Spent $16.00 on a very small fist-sized bag of chocolate malted milk balls and chocolate cashews. Threw away the chocolate... This is a two story candy store owned by Ralph Lauren's daughter, Dylan. It is a teeny bopper mecca. In general it is just an overpriced candy store. I have been to many others like it. It is really nothing special. However, when traveling with 3 teen aged girls, we had to stop. They had some fun stuff like pop... More

Okay, the stairs are cool - all kinds of gummy candy imbedded in the floor - total Candy Land. But does that make it a bucket list destination? No. Crowded, loud, overpriced and cheaply made items, Dylan's Candy Bar is a good idea, with poor execution.

This is a magical place, no question. But as other reviews have noted, there are some downsides. First of all, we have been several different times of the year and it is always chaos. Tons of kids and adults, and kids who are crazy to be in candy land. Second, the volume of people means it gets dirty and messy... More

OK, first off, I'm NOT an internet hater. Look at my other reviews, but stay away from this place. Sure, if you're walking by, poke your head in and look so that you can tell your friends you were there, but DO NOT make it a destination. It totally isn't worth it. Th essence of this place is a tourist... More

Dylan's Candy Bar is definitely a place worth checking out especially for those that have kids/early teens traveling in their party. It's a 3 story candy superstore! You name the candy, they have it. Old-time candy to the craziest sour candy, it's there. Be ready to bust out some serious cash though. Just like everything else in NYC, it's expensive.... More

Dylan's candy bar has lost it's lustre. Candy bins are messy. Floors are dirty. Candy is expensive. Why visit? Unless the candy bar cleans up it's act and reinvents itself, I predict this tourist trap will not make it.

Fun place to go with the kids/teens, especially if used as a carrot for getting them into the museums earlier in the day. ;) Lots of great 'nostalgia' candy for the adults and rows and rows of gummy candy for the kids. Colorful cute hats, shirts and other merchandise are actually better souvenirs than some of the expensive candy. Super... More

One thing I WILL say about Dylan's Candy Bar is that they have some of the best marketing I have ever seen in my entire life. Up the block from Serendipity, my granddaughter and I went in to look around while we waited for an hour to have dinner at Serendipity. She had been there many times and this was... More

Been wanting to go for years and finally had the chance to take my 14 year old daughter yesterday. The minute you walk in the door the sweet smell is almost overwhelming so beware. The store itself is really cute and colorful and the have EVERY possible candy imaginable but the prices are insane.......$6.99 for a half lb. of bulk... More
