Beautiful fun decorated stop. ALL kinds of candy choices, more than you can even imagine. Great stop in NYC with or without kids. Great store for lots of pictures, decorations are cute and whimsical. The ice cream area is not too overpriced when compared to other ice cream shops in NYC. Very tasty creative sundaes and cones.

If a sugar fix is what you crave, please stop at Dylan's! There's something for everyone here, from traditional candy to candy you had as a child and can't find anywhere else! The only thing that would have made this stop perfect would have been a customized wrapper for those hard to spell names (that you can never find) on... More

This is a great place to take the family to a nice dinner. The place is colorfully decorated to engage the children and yet it has a bar the serves spirits for those who like to drink with their meal. It has 3 levels - The top serves dinner, the street level has candy of every variety and the basement... More

Great sugar side trip close to central park. My daughter's heads were rolling even though we set a limit of one thing each.

This is an awesome place to do some primo photography! Happy kids, indulgent parents, several thousand sq ft of candy and candy swag. Unbelievable colors; well marketed! Lots of old timey candies for nostalgia!

I never had an experience where you could be seated like in a restaurant simply to order desert: count me in! The prices were a bit high for desert but at the end of the day it was worth it and our host and waiter were kind and attentive despite other pressing matters!

So after first of all searching around the city for the candy store we finally found it. At first the wonder of all the candy was amazing it was bright and colourful. So after looking at the candy around we both realised that there was almost no pricing and where there was when you got to the till the pricing... More

Dylan's is a utopia all things sugar. Kids walk into the shop with a dazed look and leave in a sugar stupor. The thing is, as a parent, who could go into this store and leave empty handed. We exited the building just under $70, but keep in mind . . . your purchases are weighed and all those teeny... More

This was a smell good place. Employees were kind and helpful. Pricey for candy, Enjoyed our time looking at all the different candy. Would be a great place to have a birthday party.

This just goes to show you that atmosphere, options, and placement can make a ton of difference. There is a lot of candy in this store, but what makes it like Willy Wonka is the candy wallpaper everywhere. I wanted to lick it like in the original movie with Gene Wilder. It's overpriced of course, but right next to a... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
