The Candy Store to Rival All Candy Stores

So much to see. Every kind of candy you can imagine and then some. Fun place overall with two floors of candy and an adorable cafe upstairs with booths shaped like cupcakes.

I love candy. I love an assortment of things. So, this was pretty much my dream come true. Just the fact that there was every type of candy you could imagine, all in one place... that was just a lot to take in. Things were organized by color, theme, type of candy... there were several bins of separated out kinds... More

The store has every kind of candy, even the old fashioned stuff from the 60s. It's a treat for the eyes. I'd recommend DQ for ice cream though. This was the highlight of my granddaughter's trip to NYC!

I took my two boys (14 and 11) to NYC for a birthday weekend Nov 13 and 14. We went to see Steve Cohen (fantastic magician) and the Rockettes (which was also a great show). When I asked my boys about their favorite part of the weekend (which also included dinner at Serendipity and Toys R Us), they both said... More

Well worth a visit (just a short stroll from Bloomingdales) this stocks all the usual American candies plus a whole lot more besides! Perfect for gifts for those at home or just as a treat to yourself, oh and it would just be rude not to visit the ice cream parlour upstairs whilst you're there :)

It is a giant sweet shop, but the sweets are very expensive if you can find the prices. we spent not long in here at all, due to the overwhelming smell, which did not smell like sweets at all, rather a chemical mix. You can get your sweets cheaper at any of the grocery/pharmacy stores dotted around the city.

My wife has always wanted to go to Dylan's ever since she read about the place years ago. Dylan is Ralph Lauren's daughter and her twist on the candy concept is very cool. She has all the fun things any good candy store should have with a few additions. The upper floor has an ice cream parlor and party rooms... More

This was adorable and fun. We do not let our children have treats very often, but when we are traveling, rules can be broken. The kids had a blast filling their bags full of their favorites. They actually filled the bags so full they probably couldn't eat it all in a year, but it was a lot of fun for... More

3 floors of goodness! Start at the bottom and work your way up to the ice cream parlor! The issue was it was so HOT in there, I am surprised the chocolate was not melting! :) Restrooms are on the bottom floor back corner! Fill a container, I think that is the best deal to get a great selection of... More

Dylan's candy bar has so many types of candy to choose from, it's like a giant refrigerator of candies.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
