Our daughter loves American Girl and if you're in any city that has a store you know it has to be on a list of things to do. They are all pricey, crowded, and full of little girls but if you have a daughter like I do that loves them you couldn't pass up a visit to this store.

On our recent trip to NYC my daugther was not interested in museams, statue of liberty, empire state, freedom towers, central park, etc.... she told me that she felt that she had not been to NYC until I took her to the American Girl 5 story store. We finally went there and walked the 5 floors. My daighter's eyes did... More

Stopped in while in NYC with the family recently. My daughter has two American Girl dolls so wanted to stop in and get some new clothing, accessories, etc. She was overwhelmed immediately upon entrance. There is so much to see. Three levels with a cafe and locations to pierce the dolls ears, brush their hair, etc. We really enjoyed the... More

My daughters and granddaughters were in New York for a show at Christmas and thought we wouldn't have time for lunch so we didn't make a reservation. We did shop and take in most of what the store had to offer on all four floors. I promised them we would return in the spring for lunch and we did. (they... More

If you have a little girl, like I do, who loves AG dolls then you must take them to an AG store at least once to experience it. I live in NY so we go to the Manhattan store, which has many floors, 3 or 4. I can't remember, I lost track. The store is huge. Do not go during... More

My 8 year old and I had bunch before we shopped. I didn't it expect it to be so sweet... they really do a nice job, making the girls feel like a princess for a day! This was a highlight of our weekend and worth the money... my daughter can't stop talking about it!

What a lovely adventure for girls who are part of the American Girl doll culture. While everything has a substantial price tag, there is something for everybody and the experience hearkens back to another time when dolls were a big part of life for most girls. While that may have changed to a degree, there are still many who love... More

I was very disappointed with the food during dinner service at the restaurant. The food didn't have any taste and most of the children in our party took about three or four spoonfuls of the food and left the rest untouched. I have eaten lunch at the restaurant before and the food was great but I would never return for... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
