This is my 7th granddaughter to give experience of American Girl Store in a NYC! They have all loved it & this granddaughter was no exception! Bought new doll & ate brunch! Brunch was excellent, if pricey! She was thrilled with this experience! Loved it!

I took my 11 year old daughter here. She likes AG but is not enamored with it so our mission was more or less "browsing" not buying it up. I especially enjoyed the "year of the doll" display on the upper floor. I'm only familiar with the last year or two so it was cool to see them all lined... More

Ultimate consumerism. Too much boring stuff, too commerical, terrible service, waited 30 minutes at cash register while the employee ran around the store doing who knows what. None of the employees seemed to be knowledgeable and we're basically disinterested in anything going on around them. Really too bad it is what it is.

Stopped in here on a December weekend, so it was pretty crowded. Had to see why all the little girls want to go here. My daughter has 2 of the original American Girl dolls. I have a 12 yr old niece who wants to go here but I'm not sure if she is too old for it. It seemed to... More

Honestly a doll, that costly. Its nice and everything but even buying the doll to purchase extra cloth is rediculose, its expensive as my own cloth . dummy me, thought u purchase the expensive doll u get free hair done at the salon. But man more money. Jesus, no not working to give my full check to the cashier.

This store isn't any different than the one in Columbus, Ohio. Displays are similar, there is a "salon" for dolls to get their hair done, and there is a small café. One plus is they have a good bathroom set up - hard to find in NYC.

I celebrated my daughter's 10th birthday with a diner at their cafe and all my guests and my daughter were treated so marvelous. Our waiters were always very polite and making sure all the girls had their drinks full,...they were treated like the princesses they are. It was so worth it. Hopefully soon I'll go also with my sons.
