A fantastic cruise despite the ice!

We took the cruise on one of the coldest days of the year and we knew that we wouldn't be able to complete the full circle of Manhattan as the Harlem River was frozen over. That was a shame but our guide, Chris, more than made up for that. His depth of knowledge, humour and charming manner made the cruise... More

Everyone who visits Manhattan has to do this cruise. Even though it was a bit cold to sit outside the trip was still great. Everyone was able to take a picture of the statue of liberty as the boat stopped temporarily outside the island and even turned around for the other side of the boat The tour guide Chris was... Taking the cruise in one of the coldest days of the year, we were told that we could not have gone through the entire cruise path because of the ice. Despite that, the cruise was very pleasurable. The guide did a great job in giving out a lot of information, which was a plus. Totally worth the price.

We took the Harbor Lights Cruise this past Saturday night. We only had a short weekend in the city, and wanted to see as much as we could in a short period of time. This was the best way to do it! The tour was wonderful, the staff was great, our guide was clear and made it very easy to... More

The Hudson may of been full of ice, freezing temperatures with a chill to the bone wind chill but it was the best thing I did coming to NYC. The guide (sorry can't remember his name, older gentleman) was informative which flowed with knowledge, humour and wit. I liked how he controlled other people who kept blocking windows and spoiling the tour by... More

I enjoyed this tour very much. I took the tour in February so the weather was very cold. The boat was large and I had plenty of room to move around and find a good seat with a window view. I ate lunch on the boat( two hotdogs and drank hot coco and a bottle of water). Although the temperature... More

Besides the fact we couldn't go all around the island (because of the icy river) it was fantastic. Well worth it!

Booked the Circle Line cruise round the island of Manhattan, New York. We don't know Manhattan was an island until we booked this 2 hour cruise. Entrance via pier 83 north, near the Intrepid, and security was strict and just a bit too unnecessarily rude and off hand. Great weather helped as we sat outside on the back deck and... More

Great introduction to NYC. Took my grandson who loved it. The narration was particularly useful, combining history, geography, and culture. Couldn't use two of my tickets and I was given a credit to use in the coming year. Few tourist attractions willing to do that in my experience.

Loved it, couldn't see the whole "set" itinerary due to ice in the water, but got some phenomenal pictures of the things we did get to see! We went with the 1.5 hour tour and really enjoyed it, great pictures can be taken outside on the decks of the boat, reminded me of titanic with the ice and weather lol.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
