Since booking my trip to New York I was determined to see Phantom of the Opera on Broadway as cheap as possible!!! TKTS made this possible. I did some research before I went and it paid off. So my advice to anyone who wants to use TKTS is go at about 5.30pm onwards and don't bother going there for when... More

Planning is a good thing, but when you´re in New York, there are so much to see that you can spend a lot in shows. Our hotel was right around the corner from TKTS and it was a blessing! We manage to watch Chicago (40% discount) and Rock of Ages (50% discount). Word of advice... it´s for the SAME DAY... More

We went to the Times Square booth on two occasions. The first time the queue was long, but only took about 30 mins until we were at the front, as the staff in the booths are really quick! We got great deals on Kinky Boots and Matilda, both 50% off. The second day we went back, we could join the... More

This is the way New Yorkers enjoy theater. Wait till the blockbusters have lost their luster, and get the tickets at TKTS for a reduced price. The Broadway experience is still without parallel, certainly in the USA. Only London's West End compares favorably in the world of theater. Even a relatively less popular production is outstanding theater. So don't miss... More

First of all you need to know that this place ONLY sells 'best available' tickets. So you are not going to get their deals (up to 50% off) on the cheaper tickets. So if a show has seats that are $49-$157 you will only be able to buy the $157 tickets (so you will pay $75ish ). If you want... More

As most tourists, we did not plan this very clever. We got to TKTS booth on Times Square only to find a massive pile of people trying to get tickets as well. The idea of having to spend most of our precious afternoon looking at other bored people made us decide otherwise. We had a nice lunch, went over to... More

We have always liked the TKTS booths and loved being able to get tickets (to matinees) a day early at the South Street stand. We recently tried the Brooklyn booth and it was so simple with absolutely zero line. We had plans to buy for the next-day matinee, but bought for that night instead because there was so much available.... More

Still a great way to buy, if you can wait to see what are the offers for that day. I bought two tickets for the musical we wanted to see, at a fair price, compared to what we would have paid otherwise. We went late afternoon and got in quickly, but if you wait you might lose the better seats.

Sunday afternoon, hot and muggy, line looked too long for matinee,so we passed. Later in day with very lucky timing, right after a downpour, with only a few people in line for the Sunday evening shows we scored 2 tix for Motown. I have heard the line moves fast, up to 1/2 hour wait, but not bad for a 50 %... More
