The Brooklyn Food tour was a very disappointing experience. I have done other food tours and this can only be described as a rip off. We never met any of the staff or proprietors of the businesses and for 3 of the stops we did not go inside them at all. We stood on the dirty street to eat our... More

I was very excited and booked the chocolate tour a month in advance of it. However 3 days prior to the tour (in Oxford, not where I live) I received an e-mail cancelling the trip because there were not enough people on the tour. I had paid a lot of money per person for my family and arrange our city... More

This was the most disappointing experience. I've done several food tours which I've greatly enjoyed, but this one was essentially a rip-off. My wife and I signed up for this tour with friends, and the four of us paid $40 each. The tour was stated to include 8 different tastings, but we only went to 5 places. Even if you... More

We not only enjoyed the cupcakes & macaroons but it was educational as well. Christine was a happy tour guide who was also very informative and patient. It would have been nice to know where we finished before we started for pick up purposes but other than that it was a great tour and would highly recommend it.

After 2 years of trying to book the Chocolate Tour (was sold out) and four hours of my time I finally got them to honor my Living social coupon. But you finish how you start because they NEVER SHOWED UP!!! Yes myself and 20 other people where standing outside waiting for almost an hour. NO call, no text nothing. Go... More

I went on a cupcake tour with my friends yesterday. It was very cool and the places we visited were nice and the treats we tried were super delicious. Our tour guide Edwin was very entertaining, funny and friendly. He told use many interesting things about the history of cupcakes and many facts about the places we visited. Additionally he... More

I took this tour with my retired mom, sister and 7-year-old niece and we all had a wonderful time. Our guide, Mallory, was courteous, enthusiastic and entertaining. The pace was perfect -- not too fast, not too slow. The stops were all excellent, with great tastings. Be sure to tell them in advance if you have any food allergies! Not... More

Easy on and off. See the city above ground. Take pictures as you travel. Never waited for a bus more than 5 minutes.

We had a great time on the Pizza Tour of New York. Justin was out tour guide and had many interesting facts and stories to share. We had four slices from old, established venues to state of the art pizza. Had a beautiful NYC April afternoon, which helped. Did a bunch of walking, which also helped. Ended up (on our... More

Our tour was with Marcy - she was very knowledgable about the places we visited and also gave us some history about chocolate in general. It was a nice walk in downtown Manhattan and almost all of the chocolate places gave generously sized portions (including giant cookies, mini cupcakes etc.) Our tour did have 12 people, which was the perfect... Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
