this is not expensive and you get a trip to the nearby petting zoo in with the price, the sea lions were great. we saw all the animals, they were getting ready for the grizzlies when we visited. the petting zoo is great, our girls fed the animals and had fun taking pics of each other in giant tortoise shells... This is a must do. Please don't expect many species of animals but the volunteers were great and happy to chat and tell you all about the animals in the zoo. The snow leopard was the highlight.

The zoo is located in Central Park and can be hard to find. I took my two kids who were 9 and 12 at the time. The zoo is smaller than I thought it would be and most of the animals were gone and exhibits closed. The kids enjoyed watching the penguins swim and the staff feed the seals, they... More

Always enjoy this zoo, even in bitterly cold weather. My college aged children picked it over a warm museum, and we had a blast.

The zoo is small, and it would probably take you five minutes on Google to figure that out, so don't pretend to be surprised. That said, it has a nice little variety of animals that seem to be well cared for. Try to schedule around feeding times, they put on a great show of caring for the animals (we watched... More

My girlfriend and I recently visited the Central Park Zoo on a Monday in December and had a GREAT experience! The zoo itself is small but packs so many great exhibits and animals in such a small venue. The staff was also very informative and genuinely happy to help us with questions about the animals and the zoo in general.... More

I was so excited to visit the zoo as it had been on my to do list for New York since we first booked our trip. My two daughters were giddy with excitement too, but when we arrived I was so disappointed. The entrance was welcoming and it seemed spacious - but when we went to see the penguins I... More

Very small and some of the exhibits are rather small for the animals. You can go through the place in about an hour. Watching the seals being fed was fun and enhanced the experience.

This place is fantastic. So cute, it is small but the enclosures are clean and the animals are well looked after, the polar bear was probably my favourite! Penguin exhibit was pretty awesome. Just loved it, not expensive to get in, you can walk around in an hour, the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and really happy to talk... More
