We stumbled upon the zoo and decided to take it in. Granted it is small, but that is what makes it so great. The zoo was nicely landscaped and not like the concrete jungles that you typically see at a zoo. If you have kids, this is a nice excursion without wearing you out. There is also a 4D Rio... More

It's amazing how boring this zoo is. It's a tourist trap if I've ever seen one. I have no idea how a zoo in such a prominent location can be so bland and dull. It hardly has any exhibits, it has a steep price of 28, and it was hot as hell. I feel very sorry for the poor penguins... More

If this zoo was in the UK it would be shut down due to public protests. The cages/enclosures are some of the smallest we have ever seen. The animals were in inhumane conditions - no room to move around freely. This was the worst part of our entire holiday in NYC.

We were lucky, the day was beautiful in NY , so we went to Central park to show the zoo to our baby. It is small but nice we enjoy every minute.

We wandered around Central Park and found this cool zoo. Although we are all adults, we had a good time. It seems more for the younger crowd (children), but my kid and his friends (college age) had a wonderful time feeding the animals at the petting zoo. The short 15 minute movie was pretty cool too! Kids will love it!

An amazing area of naturally greenery preserved in the centre of so many structures. Lots to see and do. Simply stunning.

This is a lovely little zoo in central park. $14 entry fee allows access to the zoo and children's petting zoo, and an extra fee will enable you to visit the 4D theatre. Although I visited during school holidays and therefore the zoo was packed, I really enjoyed the layout and the array of animals. I loved the penguins and... More

Central Park is very small, crowded, and overpriced. There aren't too many animals to see . I would recommend going to the bronx zoo instead.

we decided to visit the Central Park Zoo as we were already in the area in Central Park. The zoo is quite small and for us it was mostly birds and ducks to see. There aren't that many other animals. We took a walk around the entire park looking at all the animals. We spent a couple hours and did... More

A small, quiet break from the big city. You could spend hours walking around or watching the seals feeding.
