Kids Loved it.

Great for a small zoo. Not terribly expensive. 4D theatre was neat. Guides are very knowledgable. Grounds are very pretty

Firstly, this zoo is nothing like in the movie Madagascar! We were holidaying from Australia and my daughter was so excited about going to this zoo. She was not disappointed though. It was still a good experience. Good spot for tourists to visit. And we couldn't get over how peaceful it was seeing as though it was very close to... More

We spent about an hour strolling around and watching the animals. Grizzly bears, snow leopards, seals, snow monkeys, penguins...the enclosures were well kept and the animals all seemed relaxed. Perfect spot for a tourist to wander or New Yorkers to stroll with their children. Very reasonable admission prices for a peaceful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the... More

I went in March and even though it had just recently snowed all of the animals were still out. This is not a huge zoo but it's not expensive neither so it was nice just to see a few animals

A really small museum with the highlight being the Sea Lion feeding, the penguins (4 different types), grizzly bears and the Snow Leopard. 12 dollars to get in so worth it for an hour or 2. Located at the south east point of Central Park

My husband and I weren't sure if spending $12/person for a small zoo would be worth it but it was! We were only there for about an hour but we really enjoyed it. As soon as we walked in we were able to catch the sea lion feeding, and we also got to see the baby snow leopard which to... More

My friends and I went the second Saturday in March, just after it had snowed. Although it was cold, the majority of the animals were out and playing in the snow. We got phenomenal photos of the majority of the animals. My best friend was especially excited to see the red panda playing in the snow, as it is her... More

I don't know why but we tend to visit a zoo on a fair few of our trips. Don't expect a massive sprawling array of exhibits - it's Manhattan, but this is a really great small showing of the species they do have. Combine it with a walk through Central Park and it makes for a very enjoyable afternoon. Good... More

The Central Park Zoo is awesome - it's small, easy to navigate and has some great animals! Certainly worth a trip. Buy your tickets online for cheaper tickets. And make sure you stay for the seal feeding, it's fun to watch!

CPZ is not a big zoo but it is a very good zoo. The sea lion show is amazing, and held regularly. The zoo is easy to get around, but still will take a number of hours to do all of the exhibits justice. The children's zoo is fun for the younger kids. The location and history are very special.
