Travelling from the UK, we felt the the price of entry for Central Park Zoo was amazing - $12 per person. On a cold winter's day we weren't expecting to get a great view of all the animals and yes some were hiding. The main zoo was nicely laid out although some of the enclosures seemed really small - the... More

We visited on a cold/rainy Saturday morning, and hardly anyone else was there which was nice. We only had 2 hours to spend at the zoo, and that was enough time to go to the 4D movie and through the zoo. We did not have time to go to the children's zoo area. Don't miss the Sea Lion feeding, the... More

The central park zoo is small but has some pretty interesting animals. The central park zoo enclosures for the: snow leopards, red panda, and mongooses are very small. Especially the red panda, which seemed very stressed and agitated. They did have a very amazing temperate zone with tropical birds, monkeys and other wonderful animals. They also had a sea lion... Visited the zoo on Christmas day whilst on holiday in New York with my family over the holiday period. We just got general entrance tickets for $12 each. You have to pay extra if you wish to visit the children's zoo and 4D Theatre - $18 each. There is not loads there, but was nice for a morning out and... More

If you want a fun attraction at a good price, this is it. For only 12$ you will see a lot of animals in different climate and it is not a big zoo so you wont be there all day. In maximum 2 hours, you will be able to see everything. All the animals are easy to spot, even the... More

Stumbled on this when passing by. I was really glad we went in! Zoo is small but really nice. Lots of interesting animals to see. It's in a really nice location too. Maybe best to go early in the day before it gets too busy though.

The Central Park Zoo is quite small and there weren't too many animals out due to the cold, but it was worth seeing. The indoor enclosures are probably the most interesting and the children's zoo (despite us being both 20) was quite enjoyable also.

We've been here before & it doesn't disappoint. The tropical bird section has many beautiful birds that fly around you. You can get within inches of them because they are so used to people. All the animals in this zoo seen active, not lethargic like other zoos. The snow leopard was moving around, the bats were flying. Fun experience.

The aviary is spectacular, the cutesy snow leopards are adorable, the monkeys are fun (talking about tamarin monkeys not the snow ones) and the feeding of the ever pleasing sea lions makes for a great show. And, yes...there are penguins. However, all the exhibit rooms will be three people deep and during the winter, that's three people in winter coats... More

The zoo is small and compact, the sea lions performing were cute, we also saw younger sea lions being trained. There was snow leopard, red panda and a tropical bird house too, It didnt take up too much time, and going into Central Park afterwards was good.
