This is a small zoo but kept very clean. We were able to see all of the animals which was nice. We went on a Sunday and the zoo was packed. It was hard to move around without bumping into other people. I think the zoo is pretty cool for being in Manhattan. It is nice to walk in central... More

We really enjoyed the couple of hours we spent in central park zoo (we also paid for the 4d film which was good fun). The zoo is tiny but the selection of animals is varied and they all appeared to be well cared for. There were knowledgeable staff around who were friendly and happy to share infomation with visitors. There... More

This is one of those spots you can't miss. Lot of fun and variety of animals. Price was really acceptable for New York. Totally recommended

As someone who works in the animal welfare/conservation industry, going to a zoo is always difficult for me. I do know of course that this zoo in run by Wildlife Conservation Service, who do amazing things to help animals all over the world, and that was why we decided to pop in to the zoo. Coming from Africa, wildlife is... More

If your are near Central Park you should visit this zoo, which is just the right size and in easy walking distance. We took the kids here when they weer little and they loved it. I suspect your will too.

What a beautiful Zoo. We enjoyed it very much, my wife and I love animals and living at the Park Central the walk to this zoo is only a 5 to 10 minute walk. The Zoo is very clean and the animals have good room. It's a good spot to go to relax have a good time watching some of... More

I had some hours to kill after checking out of my hotel on my final day in NY and so went here. Its a beautiful setting, the greenery of the trees all around with the skyscrapers overlooking it all, looks fantastic and is very pleasant to walk around. To me its a small animal park rather than a zoo, no... More

This is one of the cutest and most well run little zoos I've ever seen. A great variety of animals to include rescued Grizzly Bears, Penguins, Snow Monkeys, Snow Leopards, a variety of birds and more. This fun sized zoo is perfect to spend the day or part of a day photographing animals you may have never seen before. One... More

This is a sweet little zoo with a small variety of animal's. I'm glad I went as I love telling people - ye I've been there! But the price still grudges me, so my advice is if your on a budget give it a miss!! Oh and don't be fooled by madigascar there is no lions, hippos, giraffe's or zebras!!... More

Love our visit not because of the size or variety of this zoo, but because of its focus on winter animals and the habitat created for them to develop in captivity. The place is friendly, we felt at ease to go around and enjoy the show in the main pool with seals and sea lions. If you have time a... More
