Small, very few animals, expensive entry, young kids may enjoy it, but as zoos go it was very disappointing. It's unlikely we would visit again.

A small but very well curated zoo. Really enjoyed seeing the red pandas so close, the snow leopard and the grizzly bears.

$12 for adults, $9 for seniors, wheelchair-accessible. My aunt is in a wheelchair and she seemed almost like a kid here, enjoying her ice cream & giant pretzel. She's never seen a red panda, coati or puffin before, so the trip ending up being educational for her too. She found the puffins adorable. A nice escape from her regular nursing... More

If you're expecting to find lions, giraffes, zebras and hippos ( after all Madagascar characters ran away from the Central Park zoo...) you are in for a disappointment... However, there are penguins, birds, monkeys, bears.., small cute zoo you can stop by and see in a couple of hours.

Unlike the nearby Bronx Zoo (with which the Central Park Zoo is affiliated), this is very small and compact. You won't have to rush to see everything- instead, you'll take your time in an attempt to squeeze a couple hours out of it. What there is to see is very well done and a dedicated children's section will surely give... More

Yes, the zoo itself was very small. But there were lots of different kinds of animals, many of which were endangered or threatened species. My favorite exhibits were definitely the tropical bird house and the red panda exhibit. The line to enter was a little long but moved quickly and we were able to rent a wheelchair for free for... Central park zoo was a complete let down. Very very small with very few animals i expected a lot more from this very famous zoo. You see more wild life walking around the park. spend your well earned money else were.

The zoo was very small. On the plus side they did have some exotic animals. The snow leopards are gorgeous and the sea lions positioned so that everyone has a good view. If you are looking for a lot of animals however, skip it.
