When The Sky has a Line its got to be Manhattan Skyline

The spectacular view ever seen, one just can't get enough of it. See it during sunset, the reflection of the Sunset is extremely beautiful

Breath taking, beautiful. We took a tour on the double decker bus. I have never seen so many tall buildings and so much traffic.

The Manhattan skyline is one of the wonders of the earth. I drive into the City to visit friends, the restaurants, the Broadway shows and the sites as often as I can and the approach to the George Washington Bridge and view of Manhattan beyond is always a thrilling experience. No matter how you see it--from the East, from the... More

There's a rating for the Manhattan Skyline? Ok, I'll play along. It's nice. One of the best in the world. Was better 15 years ago, but we're all moving forward. Bring a camera.

A piece of Americana that must been seen if you travel to NYC. Historic landmark we see every day on TV and in movies. In the very top when it comes to skylines in the world. I really miss The Towers. When you got lost you could always get your bearing once you caught site of them.

From Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island the Manhattan Skyline is awesome - so close, and yet jampacked with buildings. You get the feeling that it's pristine . . . until you walk the streets :-)

Visited May 2014. One of the most famous skylines in the world, enjoy looking for all the landmarks and seeing where they are in the city. Plan which ones to see and how to get there. Manhattan is a must see for all.

I visited New York just a couple of weeks back. I went to statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline view across was enthralling. It looks like concrete jungle surfacing the city border. Very good view for those to love photography.

You see this on many films, books posters etc, but until you have walked the streets looking up and then viewed the skyline from the Empire State Building you cannot fully appreciate the size and height of Manhattan, New York. Worth doing at Day and at Night.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
