Spectacular to see in real life instead of on the tv, a must see at least once in youir life. It really is a site to behold once the city lights illuminate

Great view looking downtown and North just a few blocks away from Central Park. The elevator ride is almost worth the price of the ticket.

Just beautiful! Wow! Even if you don't get to see a lot of what New York has to offer you will always get to see the breathtaking skyline from wherever you are. From ground level to the top if the Empire State Building the skyline is fabulous!

Great place for the views, however it was covered in snow when we went. Spent less time up there than expected.

It's one of the most enduring and recognizable roof lines in the world and visible from 360'....unlike other sizable cities spread between mountains and valleys...

It's definitely an awe-insipiring view! Top of the Rockefeller Center is a must do - and we almost didn't as we were so exhausted and last day in NYC. There was only a few people in line but even still - after seeing, I'd wait in line - it's amazing!

One can take a bus or a train anywhere across the Hudson River to see the magnificent Skyline. My favorite place to see it is along Boulevard East, in communities such as Guttenberg or West New York right across the river. You can take a bus from the Port Authority (8th Ave and 42nd St).

Saw it from a number of angles inasmuch as I did a bus tour by day, another by night (quite different), boat trip out and around the Statue of Liberty and a helicopter flight (a must). All impressed me. We've seen it in so many movies, but it really has to be seen to be believed. Met all my expectations.

From the air, a car or the top of a building it is the most recognizable skyline in the world and it has never gotten old.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
