Having traveled to New York-in the early 1990's, The skyline of New York as you sailed into her harbour, was breathtaking, with the silhouette of the buildings all lit up is a memory I will always cherish, I also did a night time helicopter trip around the harbour Ellis Island and statue of Liberty and WOW, it was wonderful. Were... More

Manhattan is a stunning place, i loke the buildings. I particularly like the FlatIron building. For good views of the skyscapers take a walk half way across the Brookland bridge and look back.

Never a time where you cant look at it and see something different. There are some stunning areas out of the city to see the skyline. Travel on the Path, or come in via the Lincoln tunnel.

We went on a night tour of Manhatten and the tour guide took us to somewhere in Brooklyn where the view was amazing, just like the professional photos.

There was a great view of the skyscrapers in downtown Manhattan. It's an unusual vantage point of the city. You can see new projects being built and some buildings you never knew existed. In terms of having lunch there are limited food choices. You'll find some little kids in some parts doing projects which can be a little disruptive when... More

Great way of humanising urbane spaces. Nothing exciting but very relaxing and aesthetically pleasing.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
